Weakest set of headliners in recent years for me not that I ever watch many. Foo's and The Cure only ones I've seen in full since 2014 when I started going again.

It's the weakest lineup I've seen for a while in general but yes headliners wise poor overall.

Really poor isn't it to get two of the biggest current acts in the world and probably one of the most famous musicians of all time.

I mean, come on dude, how is it "weak lineup in general". Whether you like it or not is out of the question, the names on there are generally pretty huge.

Yeah agreed - think its a V weak headliners and I think that it being the grand return and still technically the anniversary the whole line up is missing something.

Genuinely if you think these are weak headliners I’m going to take a guess you’ve not listened to any new music in the past 5 years

I doubt he listened any new music from Kendrick in the last 5 years... hahaha It has been so long man!

You're being unfair here

- Billie has always been polarising on here. Some love her, some dont. I think she talented but I just dont like her music at all. Just not for me.  Think a massive downgrade on Taylor in terms of what headline performance she would give. Taylor is much more sing along.

Already made my feelings known that Macca headlining. If you're a massive Beatles fan/ older you will be really excited but there are swathes of people who rather see someone else

- Kendrick is not the music I listen to but my god he will give a great performance.

As always it comes down to whether "weak" "current" and "personal preference" are same or different things.

And also the principle that any efester could start a thread, be the only one that goes in and comments on it, and would still end up being a fucking argument 😂

Exactly, if you look at it purely objectively they've got one of the biggest pop stars on the planet right now, the most critically acclaimed hip hop artist going and a Beatle and all round living legend.

By no metric other than "that's not to my taste!" is that weak.

Any attempts to bait Matt out for the two he got wrong — Dua was said by half the forum, as well — are dwarfed by the several unlikely ones he got bang on.

I wasn’t baiting him in the slightest, I had a joke with him the other day about it. Not everything is a dig

Bit like celebrating an 89th min goal when you're already 5-0 down.

Gotta give it to him: It's Matt's world, and we're all just dabbing in it.

He named about a hundred acts! He was bound to get some right!

(seriously though, he did well)

He does name a lot of acts but he also sticks to ones he really thinks and god bless him he still holds on for Dua/Harry.

I’m just shocked Harry Styles and Dua Lipa aren’t there…. So very shocked @Matt42 😘

He'll be okay - he's got his beloved Doja Cat.

Seriously though, they were never going to get harry, dua, doja cat, megan and olivia rodrigo. I'd sacrifice all of those for dua lipa though honestly - would love to see her get announced later for saturday other [would love to see Bicep given it though - would be incredible, if they get the leg up they will be the future chemical brothers for Other headline slot i reckon]

    • When are  the stage splits ??
    • 13th Primavera (Thursday was definitely making me feel like this was the cursed year).  Blood Orange was such a party by the end of their set but we all knew that rain storm was approaching.  So gutted Massive Attack didn't play after the false hope of a new rescheduling, especially knowing that Elizabeth Fraser & Horace Andy were backstage with them!  Managed a bit of Melt Banana but was just so over the weather by that point.   Friday was awesome, Rilo Kiley were so much fun.  Never been the biggest Cure fan but made the effort for them after Thursday & Robert Smith sounds like he did back in the 80s.  PinkPantheress & Viagra Boys were also great.   The highlight for me was Sudan Archives on the Saturday, she was stunning & with the Olivia Rodrigo surprise set too it made up for the Thursday sh*t show.  Dijon & Knocked Loose also superb.   Shoutout to Cardiacs on the Tuesday too, they were so LOUD, played a storming set.
    • OK, never mind, I'll take normal Nine Inch Nails.
    • Probably my least favourite of the five editions I've been to, but still plenty good enough for me to go again. Weirdly, I was just totally running out of stamina a lot earlier into the night than I remember happening in the past. I feel like I missed a lot of the weirder sets on the smaller stages as I was just totally cooked. Not Primavera's fault, obviously. Maybe I'm just getting old - or maybe I need to pace my drinking better...   Anyway - is David Byrne a realistic get for next year? Certainly hoping so.
    • watching clips of the cure in Barcelona, wow 2 hours 25 minute set. That's gonna be tough on the Sunday but can't bloody wait for it
