Apologies for not being too well versed in all of this, but what is the ‘major fraud’ that Trump is referring to in regards to the postal voting? What is his argument?

He's trying to claim the Dems are counting votes sent in after polls closed. Which is allowed if they have a post date of 3rd Nov.

He thinks because they are still being counted after election night that they shouldn’t count.

He believes/has been spouting that vote in ballots are rife for tampering with, when actually there inclusion would go largely in the Democrats favour, so he thinks the election should’ve been over once the regular ballots were counted. But he’s also just talking total shite and trying to rig the election himself.

There isn’t one.

Republicans are worried about when and how many absentee ballots are gonna come in after Election Day perfectly legally, especially in Pennsylvania, although it’s increasingly looking likely it won’t matter anyway

He suggests things like people have been getting two mail in ballots. - When that is untrue, some people might recieve two applications for a ballot but doesn't mean you can receive two ballots.
Or he is suggesting that people have been throwing away Trump mail votes, when again it is untrue a marginal percentage of votes are thrown away
He suggests that dead people and fake names can vote, when obviously they have systems against it.

In all honestly he doesn't even have a marginal claim based in reality that is accurate. Mail in voting is safe as hell, in fact you are more likely to have a mail in ballot rejected because you didn't fill it out properly, suggesting that it may be stricter than other ways of voting.

No trump is just trying to sow distrust in it, simply because people have to count the votes after the rest of the polls are closed counted. In some states it's because thats how long it takes to count and others it's because republicans have literally ban counting mail in ballots until election day

And his buddy Farage agrees with him...

Not sure he’s recovered from his roasting by Andrew Neil earlier. Needs to fly back and sit in his Farage Garage.

that bit about "as we well know on our side of the pond" about postal votes is Trump style madness. Presumably he's talking about the left, so for a start the last two big votes have gone his way so what's he saying, that without "postal fraud" Brexit would've been a bigger margin in his favour? That Tories would've got an even bigger majority? Wish he'd asked him about that comment...

I was pretty tired but I think Farage said in the UK there were instances of minorities, etc been 'persuaded' to vote using postal votes in various elections. Something along those lines.

He definitely got in a dig at Labour and didn’t like it when Neil said it helped him get his beloved Brexit.

Nasty toad of a man.

    • sub yes I could see but I don't think they get 1hr 15, a headliner starting at 18:15 though is unlikely. Even the recent co-headlines that have had like 1hr 15 then a 1hr 30 after were on 8pm or just before, you are trailing behind more than 1.5 hours then. In that scenario some 3rd down bands are only starting at 18:15 and some haven't lol. I agree they won't not book them due to this but it won't be 6 headliners. It would be 5 headliners and you wouldn't want to see 5 headliners booked but Biffy were to not be thouhgt of as an option for one. Wolf Alice on the other hand could sub no bother and you'd think nothing of it. I'm not so sure Biffy would get headline though after the festival choice in Kendal this year.
    • Definitely. UKIP also used Merkel welcoming 1 million Afgans to Europe in 2015 during the brexit vote.   Politicians in other countries within the EU know the are going to lose voters to parties to the right of them over stuff like this and they've no control over it.
    • I think it will very much vary on who there is to book who they know will sell out a day.    They’ve co-headline and full headline stuff in future, there no reason at all they won’t do it again, even if it means cutting someone’s set by 15 mins or having a band less in a big bands day…   They’re not going to not book Foo fighters and instead get the equivalent of Florence and C&S just to not have a band do a big set…   …unless of course they think it will make them more money…
    • Maybe some right wing leaders like Meloni are just playing to their base, like Reform have been here talking about them ending up at Calais.
