On the planner it says Foo Fighters on at 18:00 then Beyoncé next at 22:00... are we expecting something else within that 4 hour gap?

Sigrid was great. Another one I'd not normally go to watch but after seeing on iPlayer will do in the future. Plus being a quarter Norwegian I should really be flying the flag!

The Glastonbury Experience is going to show Stones highlights, but I think there's more to it than just undiluted Mick & Keith.

Jo Whiley and Mark Radcliffe celebrate the weekend that would have marked 50 years of the Glastonbury Festival with an inviting blend of great performances from the archives and live acoustic sets from contemporary artists.

The festival, organised by Michael Eavis and his daughter Emily Eavis, takes place at Worthy Farm in Somerset. From humble beginnings in 1970, Glastonbury is now the largest greenfield music and performing arts festival in the world - with a site that is over a mile and a half in diameter. Each year, it hosts hundreds of thousands of festivalgoers, who flock to see performances from the most famous names in music and immerse themselves in the vast range of events that the festival has to offer.

This show brings viewers previously unseen or rarely shown moments, including highlights from The Rolling Stones headline set in 2013, PJ Harvey’s rocking 2004 performance shortly after the release of her sixth solo album Uh Huh Her, the irrepressible Lizzo in an early acoustic performance in the BBC garden area, Florence and the Machine’s debut on one of the main stages in 2010, Oasis setting the world on fire on the NME Stage in 1994, plus a reminder of Stormzy’s headline set last year.

Sigrid! Of all the sets the live channel has played so far (watching this way, with the randomness of it really makes it feel like I am there in a weird way!) She has been an absolute highlight. What a great performance!

Sigrid was fantastic last year. Immense energy. I thought The xx were great in 2017 to be honest. We were all saying nah they need to headline a stage in the dark but that wasn't the case at all imo. Jamie xx was layering some lovely beats over the tracks. Lush stuff.

That girl having a full on meltdown watching her... We've all been there. I think Sigrid ended up speaking to her or giving her tickets or something.

She reached out on social media to find her and her Dad replied. They got tickets to Latitude festival where she was also playing and met her either before or afterwards.

    • Generally shorter too, I imagine. 🙂
    • Will that work for arenas with seats? People will have their tickets on their phones and needs to find their seat.
    • Excellent new release from overpass today - well worth checking out.
    • Having lived here for 2 and a half years now my take is that security, safety and organisation are just not a priority in Spain. It's not even exclusive to festivals. It's a part of everything.   Simple example. I'm Irish and in Ireland if you assemble a construction site you have to adhere to a lot of regulations about cordoning off the site so nobody can enter and get injured. Here, you're walking down the foot path and suddenly without any warning you're in a construction site. If not, you'll suddenly find yourself directed onto the road to get around the construction.   Life is more laid back here in general. Pros and cons.
