I did drive on Wednesday morning as I decided to move back to my parents for this lockdown. I know I was technically contributing to the problem (although legally I fell into the “moving house category as I intend to stay here now) but the roads were packed. I even got stuck in traffic coming back into my home town, which surprised me.

I just keep away from the non wearers. But the exemption guidance is too woolly, as you get a PA announcement requesting mask wearing but also pleading to recognise those who cannot wear a covering for whatever reason. 

The ones that get me are for example, a couple shopping, one wearing a mask and the other not, no outward signs of any impairment whatsoever. Not saying there isn't a valid exemption, but why the hell are they shopping as a couple, for the protection of both of them and everyone else?

If it's someone on their own, I can live with it.

Yep many of the national park authorities have pleaded with people to stay away as they have a responsibility to their residents aswell as tourists. 

A friend of mine has been itching to get out on his bike in the peak District but has taken the view it's taking the piss to do it. Arguably not illegal but not really in the spirit of the current restrictions.

I know we're not really allowed to say it (and soon it'll be illegal) but it IS an experimental technology never before used on a mass scale in people. If they can afford to do it then good on them - we only have to rush it because of our reliance on shocking inequality to keep the country moving and unstable economy

Feel a bit uncomfortable with the subtext of this tweet being "people are ignoring lockdown" and the blame being shifted to the public. I live here in London and barely anything's open, there's nothing to do apart from go walking. These increased public transportation rides are almost certainly majority down to offices staying open and people being forced to/needing to work. I know so many people that WFH first time around that have been put back in offices.

Both are correct, the are a legal requirement and shops etc should be enforcing the rule (similar to how they enforce no alcohol to under 18's) plus they have the right to refuse service/entry.

If the police are made aware of the incidents, they should be following them up as someone is breaking the law.

The problem is there is exemptions to the mask requirements (there isnt for alchohol) so it's pretty impossible to manage correctly due to this, it's down to both the outlet and the police.
