Shouldn't we be doing a best and worst moments of the year or something?

I assumed that were possible this would happen i had flu jab couple of months back on a sat at short notice . I thought this maybe part of a plan ahead of the now approved vaccines

When I had flu jab a few months ago my surgery were only offering weekend appointments. Probably to avoid disruption to the normal practice activities.

Grim

"In terms of how much you do for each patient" I take as code for "be prepared that some patients will die, who otherwise would have survived with normal levels of care"

Top comment is of course exactly what is expected- "if you have time to send emails then it cant be that bad"

If I've learnt anything this year, well last 4.5 years, it's that this country (mainly England) is populated with millions of complete and utter bell ends.

Agreed, but as long as the good people continue to outnumber the wallapers then fuck 'em.

Yep. The Daily Mail hate small minded brigade.

Luckily millions of great people too. Is there no way we can part amicably rather than have to share this isle.

Ah, but we do, it's just we don't shout about it. Let the idiots perform like the clowns that they are; bless 'em 🎅

Sadly our electoral system means having more enough us isn’t us. We need to do things differently!

This thread has genuinely been a huge help for me getting through the pandemic living alone. The year hasn’t been great but chatting it through here has been great. Thanks guys.

This is depressingly sad 😞

But not nearly as sad the silence in Edinburgh 😢  but I'm hoping the ships in Leith harbour won't let us down.

    • No dramas man, I just like to follow others journeys as well. Get the inspiration, give out inspiration and the outdoors is the clear the head place to do it. I'm heading out for a easy trail run today I think, 10k- 10 mile we'll see how we go. I've got a half marathon in October I'm well unprepared for hahs
    • The Cheap Thrills at Mountford Hall, Liverpool.    They've been around for a while and have built up a large local following. Last night was their biggest yet, at a sold out 2,200 capacity venue.    It was a big old joyous, indie singalong from start to finish, the band clearly having the time of their lives. The debut album is out next month and they seem to be going down well on the festival circuit, maybe their time has finally come.   2 supports, I unfortunately missed Credits but the few songs they have on Spotify sound good, Americana vibes. The other was M60, reportedly Gary Neville's favourite band. If that's true, he's as clueless about music as he is football. To be fair, their sound was poor, maybe with a clearer sound they'd have been better but it was pretty dull.
    • I can see them all merging along with the Tory’s . Restore curently couldn’t muster enough candidates to be a viable option . I lasted 4 mins and couldn’t watch any more . Lowe is just dull along with racist
