I think we will see less uptake as we work down through the age groups here.

Possibly ... although we do seem like quite a pro vaccine country comparitively ... u may also get a bit of a sheep effect as people see that others haven’t got controlled by bill gates or grown 2 heads

Its possible to be sceptical of the current vaccines and not be anti vaccines.

I think it's a big disingenuous to discount the other worries people have about the vaccines due to there being no data around things impact in fertility etc... I'm not keen on the idea of a jab myself and I'm really not keen on my son having it he's 10 and got his whole life to live and Covid is of such a minute risk to him it almost doesn't feel worth it with such little information. He's had all his other injections which have stood the test of time.

I think you’re right, looked into it and there are 4m doses ready but not enough glass vials, hopefully it’s something they can sort out as that would be mega frustrating if it’s what ends up holding it back!

The telegraph does say there are definitely now a million ready for Monday, though.

Given the specialist glass vial shortage issue was highlighted a few times earlier last year, and it looks like no real action has resolved it since then, I wouldn't put much more faith in the Government's logistical efforts at this short notice. Although it isn't something that is particularly easy to do on the scale needed at short notice, they should have properly acknowledged the logistical challenges rather than cheerlead a raft of unrealistic expectations.

I dont think thats quite what Was saying .... I was saying as more people get it ... then more will follow and become less nervous of possible side effects .... I wasnt saying that people shouldn't look at other factors that would influence personal decisions

This is being an anti vaxxer. 🤣🤣

You can have your view but don't pretend you're not an anti vaxxer. You've just written a whole paragraph explaining why you are.

Yeah christmas will start factoring in soon. Also today there's no deaths or admissions data from scotland, I think that will be the case the next few days apparently

I’d say we’d start to see Christmas numbers from a few days time now.

Having concerns about a particular vaccine for a variety of reasons (maybe perceived lack of information, or misinformation) is not the same as being strictly opposed to vaccinations per se.

we might hopefully start to get a drop-off in infections from London going into Tier 4 .... and being as it accounts for some large numbers that might take the numbers down a little overall with other places still climbing until they hit that peak .... SE went in a few days later so that may hopefully drop soon too

The entire paragraph explains concern about these particular vaccines not all vaccines.

Technically does come under the 'anti vaxxer' banner, but it is understandable if you have concerns. Lots of people have.

The kicker is that all the information is out there if you want it. Ask for it if you need to, but don't dismiss vaccinations based on what Dave off Twitter says.

Under 16s aren't getting it anyway.

You joke but my wife had the vaccine last week and blue screened last night!

I know all the information is out there. I don't think it's unreasonable for people to be able to make informed decisions about things which may have a significant impact on their life going forward.

At the moment - but that time might change. So again I think it's important to let people have the information and judge it in their own personal context.

That's fair enough and your choice. You might be disadvantaged by that choice, but it's your choice to make.

    • As someone that always likes looking at this stuff, compare the BBC opening titles...     ... and the ITV ones.     Tbf the BBC intro is better than the ones they used for the last World Cup, which I thought were pretty bad and on its own, the BBC choice actually isn't too bad. It's not as good as their pinball one for the last Euros, but the concept is reasonable. But let's be real, the ITV one is better.

    • Another new one from Overmono.   Album is shaping up nicely.
    • I'm only judging by highlights but considering that I saw a lot of anxieties from US fans about them getting it wrong after several bad results in the last year or so, they very much had it on opening night. Might be as much about Paraguay being a long way from the team that beat Brazil and Argentina in qualifying though.   Canada also doing something in a World Cup other than lose and arguably be good enough to have beaten Bosnia means reasonable start. Think they might regret not winning though.
