Scalability doesn't work like that. Small population countries with different demographics and geography, national attitudes etc cannot be scaled up in a simple linear comparison. We heard the same re Ireland. Not comparable.

Agreed - granted they started later than us but I'd rather have a million with their first doses rather than france and their just over 300 people

I also don’t understand what we would need to prepare for if everyone is vaccinated by then? Is she insinuating that the virus will definitely mutate meaning the vaccine won’t work? Even if not everyone is vaccinate by next winter, all of the vulnerable will be

She isn't even in the independent sage group if that's what you're referring to....and independent sage is not fake, it is a group of scientists who are providing open advice to the government etc. Fucking annoying.

? She isn't saying anything though. We should be better prepared for next winter is such an obvious statement its barely even worth saying.

Unfortunately I think the ship has sailed for vaccinate the vulnerable and open up - NHS would still be in trouble thanks to this new strain. 

And with there not being enough glass vials and if we're honest most likely not enough vaccine supply either whatever has been promised, im pretty confident in predicting that young people won't be vaccinated until at least the autumn.
