https://www.glastonburyfestivals.co.uk/information/tickets/ This is the relevant bit "A £25 administration charge will be retained from all refunded tickets. An additional £15 administration charge will be retained from any cancelled ticket + coach travel bookings. (£25 ticket cancellation fee + £15 coach cancellation fee). It is not possible to cancel part of the booking – if you are unable to travel on your allotted coach you will need to cancel your ticket booking. "

I did it on Sunday night to see The Duellers on Avalon. Had to get into the 1-way system, as soon as I got on the railway line turned right then into Avalon. Didn't take much longer than usual.

RFID bank notes UK government does not put RFID in banknotes. The idea of scanning tickets using RFID, or barcodes, sounds so simple but is a huge undertaking. There are 4 ped gates which deal with huge volumes at peak times, and numerous additional entry points. These would all need to link to a central database to implement any sensible system. The infrastructure to do this is huge, and is not really feasible on a large rural site for 1 week every year.

Found this on West Midlands Railways https://www.westmidlandsrailway.co.uk/travel-information/journey-planning/service-disruption/industrial-action Looks like most trains are NOT running on from Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Looks like I've got to sort out getting to Birmingham

I've got a prepay card to make sure I don't overspend, also if I lose it I only lose what's on the card at that time. I can top up from my usual debit card ( which will live in the lockups ) via a phone app. I will still have some cash with me for anywhere which requires it

For the first time I am travelling on the See coach from Birmingham. My coach is 12:15 on Wednesday so I think my train to Birmingham should be OK. The email says coach departs from "RAILWAY BRIDGE BUS STOPS, HILL STREET, B5 4AH" Google streetview shows this postcode as on Hill Street near to The Railway pub and Grosvenor Casinos. At this point Hill Street looks to be a quite narrow road with double yellow lines. Can anyone confirm this is the correct location? Reading the forums it seems that in past years Birmingham departures have been from near The Hippodrome Thanks Alan

Another 68 year old here. My first festival was Weeley in 1971, I did not do another camping festival until 2007. That year I decided to get Glastonbury tickets, but missed. Instead I went to The Big Chill which was less than 10 miles from home. In 2008 I went to Womad, then back to The Big Chill in 2009 and 2010. In 2010 BC had been taken over by Live Nation and the experience was very different. I managed to get tickets for Glastonbury 2011 and have been to every one since, so this year will be my 8th at the farm. In the fallow years I have returned to Womad. I can only do 1 festival a year and until covid did a festival every year from 2007-2019. I don't intend to stop, but am conscious that my knees are less able to stand the battering of 5 days at Glastonbury. In 2019 I averaged about 35000 steps per day.

I did 2011 & 2016 in walking boots, and never got wet feet. Just had to watch for areas of standing water to avoid, it sometimes added a few minutes to walking times, but I didn't find it a problem. I don't think there was any area I did not visit

He played in 2011, Spirit of 71 stage. One of my highlights of that year.
