K just so everyone knows, the Glastonbury is cancelled announcement HAS BEEN CANCELLED. 

Impending actual lineup announcement DEFINITELY HAPPENING and there is no need for discussion otherwise.

I don't think they will. You can only relay what you have been told. Might be sensible to wait until after the Cobra meeting. Would be silly to announce a lineup at 8am and then cancel the festival in the afternoon

Do we think there'd be an accompanying statement with the poster, stating business as usual, in consultation with the relevant authorities, etc? A calmly worded note might help soothe some seriously frayed nerves, if only on a temporary basis while this situation peaks

Apologies if this has been mentioned already, but didn't Emily say the next announcement would be the poster? Doesn't bode well for today's announcement if it isn't going to be the full thing...although I suppose given the circumstances they might have been forced to change their plans

There's no suggestion it isn't the full poster we're getting today though? Neil has just heard "bands", that could still be the full poster.

Glastonbury are working on a carbon offsetting scheme which will appear at some point, I suppose it could possibly be that.

Glastonbury is either cancelled or not cancelled, at the moment it’s not cancelled.

Its such a big undertaking along with all the other hundreds, if not thousands of individual events that are scheduled over our summer.

Our government isn’t perfect, bit IF the lineup drops today then I’d be confident it would be off the back of consultation with the government that it will be ok to go ahead in June.

We are no doubt heading for a period of social distancing and cancellation of similar events, but there is no way in hell that can or will last for three and a half months.
