The 1975 are everything wrong with rock haha I cannot believe people actually enjoy their music, each to their own I guess

To be fair I listened to the song that was a hit on The Brits or something?, love it if we made it but didn't get it at all. And by the way, they are a pop rock band but that doesn't mean they are any good at it however.

Yeah I just don't get it at all, maybe it's a sign of age but I'm really not that old really. Just see a boy band with a few instruments.

I think if you guys saw them live you might change your mind, i’ve been to a lot of gigs and seeing them in Manchester in 2016 was the best of my life. they’re not my favourite band at all but they’re the best live act i’ve ever seen

Can we have Kacey Musgraves back next year. Looking at her coachella set and I feel quite disappointed we don’t have her this year. Her latest album is great.

I completely agree.

Florence + the Machine

Taylor Swift

Macca

That's who id try to book if I had the keys to the castle. You have a current act that's closely tied with the festival, the biggest in the world today and biggest of the past.

The Madonna thing doesn't really float my boat as much any more. If they're going to go all out for a mega star, Swift is the one I'd be going for. IMO she's much more exciting and relevant in 2019/2020. This isn't a prediction since I know it would be very difficult to book Swift, but they would be my first choice to book.

Think a few people might have missed this re Macca

I had missed this! If Macca is officially out (again) then I’m gonna go for two of Fleetwood Mac (after Mick’s latest comment), Elton and Blur with a younger act taking the third spot, or maybe even Elton taking the legend slot if he were willing.

I don't see why he would be if I'm honest.

Just come back from Krakow where I saw Elton Johns Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour. It is one hell of a show and would work brilliantly in the legends or headliner spot.

Reg will never take Legend slot, esp on his final tour. Glastonbury would be daft to even ask him to do it

I don't know about that.

It draws the biggest crowd of the weekend usually, it's had some stellar acts on before (and Rolf Harris) and they could give him a longer slot than normal if necessary. It's basically the fourth headline slot now, isn't it?

I would say if he's retiring it would be an excellent box for him to tick, especially on the 50th anniversary.

Fri: Elton John

Sat: Paul McCartney

Sun: Led Zeppelin (special 150minute set)

50th anniversary, if there are going to be outrageous predictions made next year is the time!

None of these would surprise me in a Glasto 50th year especially elton or macca, but 3 of them together or even 2 of them on the same bill as headliners seems very unlike Glasto

    • RIP Roy Hattersley
    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
