Have they done away with the GLASTONBURY sign this year then?

Damn, out of upvotes.  That would be an impressive slogan though.

How does it? No real rain forecast after this week. Doesn't sound like odds stacking at all.

Low temps and big downpours this week (40mm on accuweather, 20mm on metcheck) and looks set to continue (albeit not as heavy) until the 24th.

That and being reminded of 2016 is enough to get me to be all reactionary.

Looking at the Environment Agency Flood Guidance Statement I'd say that the site is in the best place in England this week.  Everywhere else seems to have a far greater likelihood of flooding.    It's minor impacts and low likelihoods all week for that part of Somerset.

Given what's about to be unleashed on London and the South East today (significant impact and medium likelihood) I think we've dodged a bullet for now.

Can someone in the know outline this threads view on where we currently stand weather prediction wise. Im sure the answer is somewhere between the extremes of 2016 and 2017 but are we in for a muddy one or will we be alright?

I don't think anyone can truly know what lies ahead, even the "experts". History has told us that June is one of the most unsettled months of the year. Like every year, the next two weeks is going to be a rollercoaster of emotions, right up to the weekend itself. Hope the best, prepare for the worst is the only advice I can give
