What an odd choice of Special Guest and some suspiciously large venues IMG_5667.thumb.jpeg.1555ca5c14160ef1cb1e83af1438faef.jpeg

I'm as bemused by the London shows being theatre level rather at Wembley.

But can happen. Years ago I saw Kasabian doing a UK arenas run apart from London, which was 5 nights at Brixton instead.

Joining the Arcade Fire strategy of "Distract people with an Anniversary Tour".
Makes me wonder if Ben Gibbard is shifty

Nothing too dodgy, got with Chris Walla's ex though which made him leave the band.

The O2 show with The Cult sold pretty badly. I got free Sky tickets as did everyone else I knew who applied. It might have been the price as a double header that put people off. Lots of empty seats.

Two smaller shows might be a better tactic then one big one as you will get die hards buy for both nights. Might be better then risking give sways.

Will be interested in how well the London dates sell and whether a chance of freebies/discounts.

    • Same’s happened at MSG recently with Rush and Phish alternating nights. I guess each band has its own unique production so their riggers will be kept busy
    • The rumour was uk arena tour late this year.  Same as Charli xcx cant be announced until Reading headline is done.
    • Latest from the sun at least is that harry is still headlining but Olivia has turned down a spot next year to work on new music and hope for 2028.   So they can't have Fender, Fontaines, Harry, Olivia and Madonna.
    • I mean I don't think EC and FFDP are borderline sub, they wouldn't be any lower now.   2025 is about as strong as Bloodstock gets yet this year only one headline would sub and the others would play 3rd down or lower.    Machine Head wouldn't sub at Download regardless of rarity, they don't sell enough tickets and I'm not sure Gojira would sub either. Their last UK tour was a mix of smaller arenas and academy dates. Ally Pally being the only London date, not even Wembley Arena.
    • live music / main stage will generally end around 11pm but theres dj’s and late goings on right till 4am if you are so inclined.   Drinks are about £7.50 a pint probably and yes theres lots of mixed drinks / spirits / cocktails available to buy   wonderful festival, back for my third year in a row and 4th overall
