It was a last minute switcheroo on my part and they f**king destroyed. Outrageous to start with "Go With The Flow". Josh walked out with a wry smile cos of the crowd size but it seemed like they saw it as a challenge. Three songs in and the crowd had easily doubled in size. And f**k me, they delivered.

Of the acts I watched on iPlayer they were by far the most oustanding act of the weekend. Huge, loud, powerful and with an almost perfect setlist. They've been opening recent shows with Misfit Love which is one of the highlights of Era Vulgaris but very much a deep cut. Going straight into a f**king bullish performance of Go With The Flow was one statement of intent.

And the comments in this thread just make that performance even more awe inspriring. Apparently volunteering to go up against Elton, and not allowing the clearly small crowd to knock their confidence, only bolster it. Absolute professionals.

I was convinced I was going to see Elton all weekend, but couldn’t stop thinking about QOTSA even though I got tickets for their November tour to make up for not seeing them on the farm. My hubby was still leaning towards Elton, but my parents tried to get to the Pyramid and said it was carnage so we decided to swerve it. We got to the barrier (and my husband is in a wheelchair so was super chuffed!) and my god did they smash that stage to pieces. I love that they were happy to go up against Elton - it meant the field was full of hard core fans.

My parents decided on QOTSA too - their faces were an absolute picture when I met them on the VP after!

They slayed it 🖤🤘I was at the front of the barrier behind the pen. Perfect spot. 15 mins before, I was thinking OMG there’s hardly anyone here. But then 10 mins in, loads of people appeared who’d ditched Elton J and the crowd basically doubled. It was epic. It was a take no prisoners set. What a way to end the festival.

Qotsa absolutely killed it, it's shocking the aren't bigger. Made AM look like a bunch of amateurs.

Not even headlined download but Biffy have twice.

Probably the best set I've ever seen at Glastonbury and I'm not sure it will be topped.
