  1. The sanction has to be decided, but the decision has been made was my understanding. Her actions have absolutely no impact on their medical fitness to practice. It's a ridiculous and very worrying precedent at yet more stifling of free speech.
  2. Reading that sounds incredibly biased, bearing in mind I think Israel are nothing more than a fascist state running on racism funded by the US, but from accounts at the time it sounded like he started shouting at them to get out and got the crowd chanting etc. Obviously I've no way of knowing which is true, and suspect the truth lies somewhere in the middle, but that makes it out to be a few members of the crowd with Currie reluctantly asking them to leave.
  3. Maybe it's just because he's crap? Joking aside though, what he did clearly wasn't antisemitic, if it's the flag at the show thing, but it is still just harassing a single audience member until the leave. Hardly the spirit of debate. Then again, we live in a "country" where a doctor has been professionally deemed unfit to practice medicine because they had the gall to protest against big oil. We're unfortunately at the whim of big industry (energy, media, weapons). Let's just enjoy a few more festivals before someone decides WW3 is the only way to continue profit growth
  4. Is this Frank Turner? What a load of absolute horse sh*t whoever it is. I've never been able to listen to him after chatting to him outside a pub once and thinking what an insufferable c word. The real damage was a great song though, as a student pissing life away it hit home, and his cover of dancing queen was good craic.
  5. Not particularly helpful but my best glasto memories have always been unplanned and from when we decided to just wander around instead of rushing across site to catch a specific band. I don't think we were at the official "paint fight" but someone did give us all a bunch of the paint powder at the pyramid stage and we had our own paint fight while they recorded it, supposedly on a high speed camera. Never found of if they really did record it but we had a great time. We also stumbled upon a full on wrestling ring one night and it was incredible, honestly don't think it'll be topped. I can definitely recommend not to waste time on "legendary" glastonbury things. Last year I made the effort to go to the "secret" piano bar as I'd never been in ten years. I gave up after queueing for an hour and a half, what a waste of time, and full of people who just wanted pictures for Instagram (and a vice journalist)
  6. Flaming Lips at the park, one of my all time favourite sets
  7. It's definitely not bad enough to be disappointing, underwhelming or meh would sum it up for me. Mostly because the bands I want to see on there I've seen a good few times already and can go see their own shows relatively cheap still. It's made me more excited for EOTR and I'll not be disappointed if I lose out on the resale.
  8. I would consider women with babies in prams being shoved into bushes, and needed circles formed around them to leave the area, unsafe. No point dragging up what was massive thread, but if ground conditions were bad that would have been a disaster
  9. What spot was that in? The crowd at TLC is the worst I've ever been in at Glastonbury and was rightfully called out for being unsafe, just look back at the threads on here. I can only assume you found a strange oasis, or were really close and benefitted from people being unable to filter in
  10. Can't believe it's taken so long for a "You shouldn't be going to Glastonbury unless you're unquestionably positive about it" post
  11. Surely disappointing for those with tickets, will still try for resale I think but it's definitely taken away the sense of losing ou. Idles as a headliner seems such a poor choice, people were disappointed with them as EOTR headliner which I think shows their current level (outside of the 6music bubble) Fingers crossed for bad weather on top and maybe next year's ticket rush will have died down a bit 🤣
  12. Devastated magnetic fields are playing Albert hall the same weekend. Edit - nevermind it's a wednesday Thursday so might just miss the Thurs
  13. Happy days, just worried in case one end is like a 2min walk to the gate and the other is 30mins or something
  14. In terms of entry, is there only one gate in and out from the site? Seems that way on the map Is there a "good" space to get parked for campervan or is it all pretty much the same area?
  15. Ah crap is this confirmed? Been debating giving the Thursday a miss so I could go to something else but that would swing it for me
