  1. Ahh, I got one of these in 2016 - it certainly brightened up a very muddy festival!
  2. No probs, thanks. Luckily I’m in, but I have 4 friends desperate to go!
  3. Hey, is there room for one more group, or are you full now?
  4. 4G here too. Unfortunately the coach sale interface on mobile is HORRIBLE! So much scrolling up and down to find a coach opening only to find they’d sold out by the time I hit purchase. If there are any spots in the spreadsheet for Sunday I’d love my friends to be added - they haven’t been since 2017 despite trying every year ☹️
  5. Sold out according to Twitter
  6. A mate got straight through at 9am to sort tickets for my family (I'm going as crew this year) - absolute wizardry - we're all trying for other friends now and none of us have got anywhere near so far!
  7. Safari on my iPhone using 4G while at work- couldn't believe it. Hoping I have the same luck when trying for myself on Sunday!
  8. Lad 1: “If I do decide to retire early and actually do something useful with my life, like make MDMA, you will pay for my Glastonbury tickets, won’t you?” Lad 2: “Yeah, course I will mate.”

    Glasto flu

Sorry to all those suffering with the “emptiness” - noro does have a habit of rearing it’s ugly head on the farm 😞

    Glasto flu

If I am it’s not gonna stop me returning! My hay fever was an asshole this year, too, it’s usually done by now, but no luck this year!
  11. Who did you go for in the end? I was in a very similar position. I love Elton, and assumed I’d be there, but couldn’t get QOTSA out of my head all weekend. Decided I’d get more out of QOTSA live than Elton and make a night of it one day this week watching him on TV. Ecstatic with my decision, managed to get on the barrier and the field with full of hard core fans. Easily my set of the weekend.

    Glasto flu

I think it’s the dust. I was very congested towards the end, coughing/sneezing etc, but it’s subsiding now I’m away from the farm. I’m aching too but that’s to be expected!
  13. I was convinced I was going to see Elton all weekend, but couldn’t stop thinking about QOTSA even though I got tickets for their November tour to make up for not seeing them on the farm. My hubby was still leaning towards Elton, but my parents tried to get to the Pyramid and said it was carnage so we decided to swerve it. We got to the barrier (and my husband is in a wheelchair so was super chuffed!) and my god did they smash that stage to pieces. I love that they were happy to go up against Elton - it meant the field was full of hard core fans. My parents decided on QOTSA too - their faces were an absolute picture when I met them on the VP after!

    Royal Blood

Frank Carter's set was ace. I remember him saying something like: "You know how you have that one person you don't like for no reason at all, you just REALLY hate them? We've all got one, and that means you're probably that person to someone else, you horrible b*stards!" ...it was a truly life-affirming moment for me!
  16. My husband uses a wheelchair full time. His disability also means he can't regulate his body temperature (doesn't sweat, basically). We've been every year since 2013. '16 was pretty horrendous - I often wonder how we got through it, but get through it we did, and we had lots of fun, we just had to manage some expectations; essentially pick a spot and stay there until we wanted to brave the slog back to the tent. I'm not great in the heat - I like the warmth but have pale skin and HATE wearing sunscreen - but the hubby really struggles because he just gets hotter and hotter. Again, I wonder how we got through years like 2019, but we did, and again we had an amazing time, and no extreme weather has stopped us trying our damndest to get tickets every year. So, while we still mildly dread the thought of a muddy festival, it won't stop us from getting as much out of our time there as we can! (Obviously, this doesn't stop us furiously refreshing this thread/weather forecasts every day, it's all part of the build up!)
  17. One tab each on two different browsers (Chrome and Safari), refreshing alternately (so probably each tab was being refreshed every 2 seconds or so). This is what I've always done and it's generally worked for me, whether in general sale or resale. Can't remember which one worked in the end, but bizarrely the reg page showed up on both at around the same time. Both browsers kept dropping in and out of the countdown page simultaneously as well. Also had phone counting down on 5G, which did bugger all. Reading this topic, it does just seem like sheer luck to me!
  18. There seem to be a lot of people being timed out at the payment stage. My tip would be to use the One Time Passcode instead of using your banking app to authenticate the payment. I used my app first, it took forever and ultimately failed as it "Couldn't process my request", presumably because tons of others were doing the same. I could see the timer counting down which was petrifying. I requested a text OTP instead and it worked a treat. So OTP: yes, banking app: no!
  19. I got mine done at about 9.25, after going between the white screen of death and the countdown page. Reg confirmation and payment took seemingly forever, and the 2-step authentication on my banking app (Santander) didn't work which nearly sent me into a fit of rage. My husband calmly said "select the 'send OTP by text' option instead" and that worked a treat! So that's my lesson: OTP text for payment authentication, not the app. My brother's coming for the first time in his 50th birthday year so I'm well chuffed.
  20. Is anyone else getting to the confirm registration page and then being booted back to the holding page one you hit the confirm button? WTH?
  21. The hubby and I randomly got talking to the DJ Greg Wilson before his set in NYC Downlow and he said Genosys wasn't there due to a lack of funds...probably the same with other parts of the festival, coupled with the standard staff troubles over the past couple of years.
  22. You got my ticket for me, so I'll never disagree with a word you say! You're right though, it was ace. I'd meant to message you to buy you a thank you beer, but my phone wasn't behaving! Safe travels home.
  23. Girl: "I made the mistake of double-dropping last night because I didn't feel much from the first. Within five minutes, every blade of grass had turned into razor clams." Lad: "AGAIN?! What is it with you and razor clams?"
