I'm going for Harry Styles. New album out today, and one song sounds a bit like Beck. Mid afternoon, Ellie Goulding slot.

Yeah that is a strong possibility matches the "really big secret" too

(10CC) they're a fantastic live act with a huge string of hits .... but far too small for what Emily said to be about them.

Yes I'd love to have them there (with that original member they have), maybe in the Squeeze slot from last year, but they'd just appear on the poster, not a big fuss like this I reckon

The national cant headline other or sub the Pyramid. As good as they are they're Just not big enough or known enough amongst the herds.

They absolutely can sub. If Tame Impala are 'big' enough...

The Zeppelin rumours are because of this:

http://www.robertplant.com/

They were going into raptures in the States over this, Plant has apparently accepted $15 million to reform, but most likely is at the big desert festival which had McCartney, Dylan, etc last year.

That's almost certainly referring to upcoming Robert Plant gigs, rather than anything Zeppelin related.

pretty much nailed on to be one of those, i'd say.

or Toploader.

If they put toploader on in the day and I can't see the moon I will be very disappointed

I'd take any of the big acts being thrown around at the moment. Beatles would be a great sing along. Pink Floyd/Led Zeppelin will probably be the greatest gig I'll ever see.

Abba would be an absolute dream but that's never going to happen

So does this mean you are interpreting her words to mean a BIG act.

Like Led Zeppelin/Pink Floyd/The remaining beatles

The way she's said it suggests to me that it's either an act who'd be considered a worthy headliner, of an act like The Kinks where their reunion would be considered something very special by itself.

Meh.

Why not? Insider info? Or just stating opinion as fact? :D

Common sense.

edit: Ha didn't mean to come off all snobbish there. Just cannot see it being him - I'm sure Emily would know a lot of people would NOT be happy about him performing and so wouldn't want to draw attention to him being a super secret act.

Are they a tribute act

Biffi Cliro would be a perfect tribute name!

I still think it will be a name who is top of the game in their genre but might be considered a controversial headliner in their own right. Perhaps a big DJ like Eric Prydz as I mentioned yesterday, equally could be Calvin or any number of DJs that would be a huge pull for other festivals.

Or the whole 6 month things could be when another festival announced a headliner and claimed exclusivity, perhaps one of the IOW headliners. Run DMC would be a huge surprise and could still fit in the bill in a number of places?

Well I had never heard of The National before this poster came out... they seem to be some what of a cult band. Massive listening figures on Spotify but unless your a fan you wont have heard of them. On their figures you would have to say they could sub...

Tame Impala are frigging awesome though :D

Hang on, it's new moon on the Saturday:

http://www.moongiant.com/moonphases/june/2017/

So, we really can't have any 'dancing in the moonlight'.  For that reason and that reason alone, I don't think it's going to be Toploader.

Well all that means is that they'll have to play the rest of their extensive well-known back-catalogue, instead of that one hit, that song they have that they didn't even write themselves. Should be lots of fun

Top 3 songs on spotify

1. Dancing in the moonlight

2. Dancing in the moonlight

3. Dancing in the moonlight

and somehow they have released a "the very best of" album.
