Saw it myself, albeit from just outside the tent. And yes, I agree  it was decent. He came across as an alright fellow.

I was there. Went along cuz he's got some good pop tunes and I expected a greatest hits set. I left about 15 mins in because I thought it was boring and he was coming across badly. Funny how people take things differently.

I remember him saying that he'd spent most of the time back stage in his winnebago and thought to myself 'I'm not going to waste my time watching someone who is wasting their time at the festival!'

I feel like this week we must be due some news. Wouldn’t the NME awards usually be around now?

@Gnomicide In comparison to previous years how do we stand in terms of confirmed acts? I feel like we normally have more three acts confirmed at this point?

2016 and 2017 we’d only had 2 acts confirmed by now.

Well I've a feeling Radio1 will be announcing their "big weekend" tomorrow so that'll be the in the news for the next few days.

Can't see another Glastonbury announcement until perhaps next week? (if we're going to get anything at all)

Personally I think the first poster drop is only 4 weeks away anyhow. I think it'll be with us during the w/c 18th March what with brexit dominating news everywhere for a few weeks following.

I can imagine the brits may bring news of another headliner ?

Not for pyramid headline slot but maybe other stage,,,, I wouldn’t mind Keane playing there the Friday.

That would be one of the biggest leaps up the bill from pre break-up to post reunion.  The last time they played they were on Avalon.

I met Will Young once in a pub in Hackney. Can confirm that he was a thoroughly nice chap, and happy to put up with drunken ramblings. 10/10, would definitely bother him again.

I saw him in Pret on the The Strand once - true story. I was walking past outside, so it was hard to gauge if he was a nice person from there. I'm happy to give him the benefit of the doubt though.

Just seen this Tweet, which is interesting...

Doubt it will have impact on whether or what he plays, but it might mean you won’t get any Oasis songs on the highlights...

Might be the case for G too (don't know if that'll come under the same banner), but 'As It Was' that he's referring to is a new doc 'to tell story of how he “emerged from Noel’s shadow”'

NGHFB's gig at The London Palladium has just sold out in about a minute.

I was there on the dot and only got offered expensive or side seats and then they were gone.

Bollocks. I quite fancied that.

I managed to nab one.

What did you go for?

I was really aiming for centre stalls but was thinking they would be the cheap seats for some reason. Was offered side stalls but balked at the price and then started dithering about whether to go for cheaper seats in the gods or a side view and they were gone.

Ho hum. I'd have needed to get a day off anyway (off a night that morning) which I may not have been able to get and I've seen them at least four times already. Best one being Brixton Academy a few years ago. Johnny Marr and Paul Weller guesting and I swapped a hello and a grin with Posh Spice (I didn't realise who it was 'till I got back home and my mate told me the Beckhams were there. I'd thought she was someone I vaguely recognised from back home).

The screen synching was well out though, which ruined it a bit for me. It seemed like it was set up for people half way at the back of a field at a festival.

Ended up with the expensive stalls seats, had See open on my work computer and my phone. Got straight through on my laptop and put the 85 quid one in my basket while I tried to get cheaper ones on my phone. Couldn't get in so just bought those.

Really regretted not seeing him last year as I loved WBTM and GF is looking less likely this is probably the best chance to see him.

    • We don't have any choice but I don't need a t-shirt for it! 🙂    On the bright side, it gets it out of the way for a nice 5 year run... notwithstanding wars, new contagious diseases and apocalypse.

    • Quick question. Rather enjoyed the Rhubarb Cider from the bars. I know Thatchers did the pump ciders but who made the Rhubarb Cider?
    • Top 5 acts of the weekend for me: 1. The Cure 2. my bloody valentine  3. caroline 4. Father John Misty 5. Big Thief   Biggest disappointments: - Slowdive (the mixing/sound just wasn’t right, and that was about 20 rows from the front of the stage) - The xx (also too quiet and marred by talkers who had no interest in the music)    Positives from an organisational sense: - extra water point at Mordor this year - handing out ponchos before the rain and ear plugs before mbv    However…two of the water points had ran out on Saturday evening, which is completely unacceptable when you stop people from bringing in large bottles of water, and charge €4.50 at the bars for a 330ml can
