I thought she was just saying it in the interests of female empowerment, which is a common theme for Kate's stuff.

But yeah it's good to swerve the political discussion in at least one thread. Neil declared the thread over a few days ago when he told us that he's got fresh info that puts Ed as being very very close to happening and Foos a bit stronger too. Hopefully we'll start to learn proper info about the other major acts soon.

Did you read the interview? I don't think anyone would have an issue if she was simply saying "It'a refreshing to have a woman in charge" or the likes. The thing is she wasn't though. She's just another rich Tory who likes it when other rich Tories do things that keep rich Tories rich and the poor where they belong.

I reckon most musicians are anti-tory. Out of recent headliners who do you reckon are tory scum? I bet even the posh lot like florence and mumfords dont vote tory.

They have, but I dunno if it's that cut and dried.  They've also expressed a fondness for Blair and are mates with Bill Clinton.  Jagger's written a terrible song lambasting neocons, and another fairly terrible one complaining that people who don't have jobs are lazy.  Keith's probably not even registered to vote in the UK - and Jagger's too canny to ever go on the record about exactly where he sticks his mark.

In short - who knows?  But you'd have to say that there's a decent chance.

Mumford and Sons absolutely do, clearly. Pretty sure I read something about Marcus Mumford's parents being big donors, probably whatever sum gets you into the PMs favourite bands. I would've thought you'd be the first one jumping on Adele for it, given her comments on tax. If any of The Stones still live in the UK, they're definitely voting Tory, can easily see Charlie Watts hitting up every Tory conference, fucking mad for it that lad.
