Too many sources have said the Spider is returning for that not to be true. The evidence in favour of Pangea being back is growing. Surely we’re going to get both in some form or another? Or is that too outrageous.

Yep the cost will be too high

The dangly moon thing didn't really work last time, so this year they're hanging the spider off the crane?

So the "sources" who had information about the crane being removed last week didn't end up being right. We've also seen a few close up photos of all the crane parts which have been delivered onto the site.

Really struggling to reconcile the information from "sources" and my own eyes here.

I guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens.  I'm still confident Spidey is back but there's probably no need to keep banging the drum, on either side, at the moment.

It would be pretty cool it if was both. Don't know how that works exactly from a crowd flow perspective, but having two focal points in the field would be interesting.

I would like that, but is there room? Surely something quite substantial would have to make away.

As long as it doesn’t go by the other stage. That was awful.   Mind you access to the field Pangea is in isn’t great

Anything is possible I suppose, but I can't see Glasto giving Arcadia another field along with another £500K budget!   What would be kicked out of the SE corner?  We already know Block9, Shangri-la and The Common are getting ready, so that only leaves UFG.

Block 9 to contract back from 2 fields to 1? Not that I think it'd happen, but that IICON field is massive and could fit a couple of their other venues in it.

I'd be very surprised if they tried that again, I think everyone agreed that was the wrong place.

Certainly don't blame the festival for trying things, it's certainly a live and learn process.

Another "won't do that again" is the Lovebullets tent in 2017.

Caused an horrific soundclash in the area being so close to LeftField and Glade and made the path way to narrow around there.

    • We head out in the morning. Couple of nights in New York then up to Boston. Enjoy the games lads and hopefully we get some great football to take our minds off the whole shitshow off the pitch.
    • White Stripes/QotSA at Harewood 2007, Tramlines (and Blue Dot, same weekend) in '23, and Elbow at Jodrell Bank '13.
    • Yeah exactly, the shock moments, group layouts, etc all end up playing out differently once you get into the tournament. However you tweak it, you don't predict shocks.
