More I think about hot chip I think john peel headliners would be better for them.

Why anyone would want to see a band in a packed JP tent is beyond me. It's alright when it's half full and you can either ram up front or chill out at the back, but being rammed at the back sounds like a very grim affair. I don't see why they couldn't be a (admittedly fairly weak) Other headliner if they were going to headline. You could probably even get away with them subbing someone like Taylor Swift on the Pyramid.

But they'll be Other sub as per.

Can't believe i went to the first two days of Wireless 07 but not the third. I didn't know/love Daft Punk as much as i do now. I decided i couldn't afford that day but man i wish i had done. Could have seen LCD Soundsystem and Daft Punk. Sad times.

James Murphy looked like he properly had the 'ump that day though.

Even so...LCD and Daft Punk...

Ha I'm the opposite, I love live bootlegs

I'll sit and listen to Grateful Dead bootlegs all night long but gigs or tours I was at? Nah, no interest really. Bit like looking at holiday snaps, I've never really got that either.

I reckon they'd be a fairly strong Other headliner. They're popular with a lot of people and the field would be busy.

I've listened to portishead from 2013 200 times probably.

Holiday snaps I agree, though I do like looking at old holiday photos from when I was a child away with my parents

I guess it would depend on who they would be up against. When I've seen them as subs it's always been busy, but roomy, and I don't think they've increased in popularity much since then. Definitely worthy of the slot though.

Agreed, alex was sensational.

Have you got the live in Dublin album? There's something not quite right about it but I can't put my finger exactly on what it is. I prefer the London one, despite it having dino. Think it's Leonard's chat between songs

Got the Blu-ray. And yeah, something slightly weird about the sound - so I also listen to London a bit more. I also got the recording of the O2 gig I went to in the most recent run - via a vine on the website forum. It's great having the actual gig you were at.

The only thing I'm fairly sure about is, that if people are right and Alt-J are in that sub slot at R&L then The Prodigy are much closer to being your Sunday Other header. They will be doing another gig in England and as far as I'm aware, that slot is the only other they could have as far as I can see.

Any outdoor London show would have been announced and they are already sharing one London header, there won't be two and they didn't even let KOL played lower down than MK.

Just like with Blur, Glasto does make sense as both wouldn't be announced until around two months before IOW it's a sold out event bar the resales anyway. Would be a top alternative to Kanye West. This is why I don't see Blur Sunday.

    • Spring (or early) next year now.   Says to me that the album is/was delayed. I've done some digging but not had anything beyond that.
    • Same’s happened at MSG recently with Rush and Phish alternating nights. I guess each band has its own unique production so their riggers will be kept busy
    • The rumour was uk arena tour late this year.  Same as Charli xcx cant be announced until Reading headline is done.
    • Latest from the sun at least is that harry is still headlining but Olivia has turned down a spot next year to work on new music and hope for 2028.   So they can't have Fender, Fontaines, Harry, Olivia and Madonna.
    • I mean I don't think EC and FFDP are borderline sub, they wouldn't be any lower now.   2025 is about as strong as Bloodstock gets yet this year only one headline would sub and the others would play 3rd down or lower.    Machine Head wouldn't sub at Download regardless of rarity, they don't sell enough tickets and I'm not sure Gojira would sub either. Their last UK tour was a mix of smaller arenas and academy dates. Ally Pally being the only London date, not even Wembley Arena.
