    1008

Well every gig he has done since he returned in 2008 has had no support act and has gone on for around 3 hours. I knew because I had followed the tour religiously!

3 hours is probably not giving him enough credit.

Glad to see you and Mardy have also broken the bank for Leonard. I managed to catch him at Glastonbury, Gent, Brighton, Moscow, New York and the O2 during the various tours. Absolutely brilliant. Every time. Even better towards the end with Alex Bublitchi arriving on violins.

Agreed, alex was sensational.

Have you got the live in Dublin album? There's something not quite right about it but I can't put my finger exactly on what it is. I prefer the London one, despite it having dino. Think it's Leonard's chat between songs

I had a quick look/listen to the live recordings, but honestly, I can't see the point, I'd rather stick with my memories, as impressionistic and unreliable as they may be.

Haven't read the whole thread, but after reading that Foals may be a long shot - what do people think of Hot Chip getting a bump up onto Pyramid headliners??? Surely have a greater set of hits than Foals and new album out just in time...??

Am I completely dreaming or not...? They were sensational in 2010 as Other Stage sub...

What's your predicted 3 for the Pyramid Couchy?

What I want would be Taylor Swift & Daft Punk.

What I reckon will be neither of them. I really don't know this year as no rumours or suggestions have lead me to think one band/person over another.

But Kanye West & Taylor Swift would cause a media shit storm & an effing load of media attention for Glastonbury (because of their previous history, TS says she's been hanging out with KW too on Nick Grimshaw/Greg James show). Not fussed about Flo, she can do it but I wouldn't go, I didn't at Bestival & saw SubFocus instead, unless there is nowt else on.

Let's all go to the pub or a field & have a cider.

I expect Charlie XCX to be there.

Foo fighters/Outkast

Stone Roses/Libs

Kanye/T.Swift

Weird sub for Foos, but thoughts on this?

Outkast have basically broken up and Andre has said he pretty much hated the comeback tour and only did it for the money. almost zero chance they'll be at Glastonbury, let alone subbing anyone.

I'm pretty much in agreement...but not sure how I feel about it.

I'd be 'meh'.

I'd fucking LOVE to see Daft Punk again.

I got bored reading about everyone's opinions on Foals!! Just wanted to flip things to focus on how awesome Hot Chip are live!

It's a shame they've missed their chance at getting a prime Pyramid slot - they're definitely good enough live... Surely they're no more a long shot than Foals though...? (not that I have anything against Foals)

Am I the only person on here who doesn't like Daft Punk?

They're alright. I'm not that fussed about them, and probably couldn't hack a two hour set by them. But I'm not against them.

No. Dull as dishwater, I don't understand how anyone can listen to there stuff for 5 minutes without getting bored, imagine 90 minutes of it?. Can't understand why otherwise rational people hold them in such high esteem. It's probably Jean Michelle Jarre under one of those masks.

    • I saw this just after it was posted yesterday, I barely paid attention to it. I didn't realise it had blown up in the way it has. I'm sure (kind of) that Sziget will be unaffected - it brings in billions of huf over a very short period. Its consumption, compared to the rest of Budapest, will be tiny in reality. That said, nothing wrong with encouraging people to use less energy whether it's now or in the future.
    • The eulogies are flooding in.   The list I've seen so far is Jenrick,  Hartley-Brewer, Hopkins, Lowe, Pearson   Tells you all you need to know about him...
