Foals are on the verge of headlining festivals and along with a lot of people on here I think R+L will be the first ones to give them the slot, I'm not a huge fan but I'd love to see them live because I've only ever heard good things, plus Spanish Sahara is a unbelievable tune

Ehh, I found Foals on the Other Stage hella boring in 2013. Sound just seemed to drift off into the air and it lost the intensity they usually have. Worst of the times I've seen them anyway but I'm looking forward to seeing them again.

....though I also agree with this. There are mitigating circumstances though, certainly the combination of Alt-J sucking all the air out of the field and the crowd around me being twat casserole was an atmosphere killer

Could this be said about pulp though? I hope not but is there anything to suggest not!

The last I heard was that they had an agreement not to play for a certain time span after their tour finished with SJM, I think it was. That has now passed so they are free to do what they please.

I have seen the rumours about them splitting up and not getting on. But Mani's brother said they have not split up so you have to take him at face value on that.

If they had split up, Ian Brown and Mani would have been active elsewhere. There is no way them two would not want to be releasing music.

I think no news is good news regarding the Roses at present and they could be dark horses for Glastonbury.

Remember seeing Foals supporting Sunshine Underground at the Ritz in 2007 - think they were actually on before Rumble Strips too!

They've got better with each album released. If they keep that up with the next one I think a headline slot (maybe next year) would fit Emily's model of working a band up to the Pyramid stage perfectly.

I really like the most recent album too. They're playing a few dates in the spring - would love to see them on the line-up.

Foals i can see just doing european dates this Summer, releasing the album, then if it does well potentially more prominent slots next year. They were good as headliners at latitude - better than say black keys who are suggested as (probably reading) headliners

If you read the original post I replied to you'll see that neither party was happy with the decision for them to watch half of each act. So clearly that was not good for them.

I live with my husband. I don't need to spend £200 and travel 200 miles to spend "quality time" with him. I do that all the time. The moments when we have something to share at Glasto are great but I would hate to think he was watching something he didn't enjoy just so he could spend time with me.
