Yeah sounds like Flo is dodging the question

Speaking of days, coldplay are heavily rumoured to be headlining the saturday at werchter right? I'd expect they'd be on the Sunday at Glasto then?

Florence - fri

Foo fighters - saturday

Coldplay - sunday

Feels right to me.. Dunno why.

No they're rumoured for Werchter Boutique/Classic/whatever it's called this year.

Not a particularly big fan of Adele and I certainly don't condone tax dodging but I'm happy to give her the benefit of the doubt about her. At least she's paying them. She'd hardly be the first rock star to whinge on about her bill.

Paloma Faith ain't headliner status but I'd see her again. She looked ace on Jools Hogmany and I enjoyed her early Pyramid slot.

She didn't just say "This is a lot of fookin tax, lads", she said "It's a lot of fookin tax considerin it only benefits the filthy poor" (paraphrasing, here).

Yeah, I've read what she says. It's not nice. I'm sure I said loads of daft things when I was a young un.

I still prefer her moaning and paying it than keeping shtum and avoiding it. And certainly preferably to avoiding it then having the front to go on telly trying to raise money for charity like that Barlow.

    • It would be piss-easy for a bot to manage, though.
    • I've heard that ticket sales for other events that use the same system have included the question 'are you still there?' on each window/browser you have with a place in the queue. If you don't confirm you are, it'll assume you're not and that place will drop.   I've no idea if Glasto/See will adopt this, but it would be challenging to keep on top of with many windows open.
    • People who're struggling are already priced out, so I don't think a bump in price will affect who attends. There'll still be a cross section, leaning young. I also think they'll do a soft breaking of the £400 ceiling, keeping the ticket price just below but having postage take it over. Next year the ticket itself will be over that threshold.

    • Not sure if this has been mentioned but new La Roux album out November - was meant to play in 2020 but hasn't found her way back onto a lineup. If any excuse just to hear this absolute banger on the fields next year!
