  1. I have now received a text telling me I am off the waitlist, but no email. Never had an email telling me I was on the waitlist. Anybody experienced similar?
  2. Should I be hopeful having not had an email yet ...? Or did I just somehow mess the registration up? AEG Presents emailed me about the new dates, but I can't find a registration confirmation. I am thinking it's not a good sign. All my other friends have Wait List emails.
  3. Dula Peep posted an article about her favourite Glastonbury performances to her Instagram stories 2 hours ago. As if that's not a massive hint....
  4. Not to be mean to them, but you can see Alt J any where If you have FOMO already, just go see Elton. Elton will be a completely different but unintimate experience, and he will feel ages away. Lots of flags. Possibility for annoying Sunday Pyramid people. But it will be a big field singalong and probably "a moment" if you want something on the epic side. But, that might not be your bag. It's very personal. Also, it may or may not bother you, but when you get some everyone's going to ask did you see Elton. Might get annoying saying you saw Alt J.

    Beer Prices

Agree on this for Leeds. I remember being sadly pleasantly surprised the pints at Glastonbury last year were about the same as a bog standard bar in Leeds city centre.
  6. This was not the thread to come to for somebody who had decided on Texas.
  7. I wouldn't say they are any worse this year (after all, Texas and Carly are hardly that similar an act like if they'd clashed Carly and e.g. Rina Sawayama). There's always a few hideous clashes. Although I am sure most years a couple are deliberate, especially for the bigger acts like Fred or Elton.
  8. I am very torn - massive fan who finally saw her on her last tour. So my choice is - see the same set again, or see Texas for a nostalgia fest (or, go see Pale Waves who I also love, but basically binned that one off). Think both will be amazing. Why did they clash all 3? 😌 Especially when there's bugger all else I want to see on Friday.
  9. The weather is never nailed on dry in the SE of England in June. Always bring at least a light-weight waterproof, and at least have walking boots/wellies in the car to go retrieve if you need them (or travel in the walking boots like I do on the coach, knowing I may never put them back on a the festival like in 2022). A bit of rain is almost certain, and can in fact be quite welcome!
  10. Hope they are on time. I plan to see the start and then decide if it is worth missing Chvrches (missing them again) for. Not a massive Foo's fan, but wouldn't want to miss "something special".
  11. Can we not do the GnR headliner thing again please.
  12. If he wants to give some focus to "smaller" artists, Rina Sawayama might get a look in, although don't see him singing their duet (Chosen Family) as it is one of her songs and time is so precious.
  13. Bleachers, given that they are in the UK the week after. Plus the potential for Jack to duet with Lana, and Lorde playing big slots on her last two tours. Guess they probably weren't asked.
  14. See you there, there's going to be a rainbow stampede for sure.
  15. Pulp and Chvrches. I never see Chvrches at Glastonbury and I bloody love them ... always up against something "big".
  16. Looks like it's time for another coffee. Second point still stands though.
  17. Only 45 minutes for Pulp? They are going to absolutely tear it up. [edit - I can't read time] I would say "poor Royal Blood", but they can f**k off after their weekend tantrum.
  18. Rolf Harris was the first act I ever saw at my first Glastonbury .... ugh.
  19. Maisie Adam + Jamali Maddix + Phil Wang are the names that jump out.
  20. +1 - Scissor Sisters 2010 smashed it like no other
  21. Thank God Matt42 is on hand to provide such in depth analytical advice for Glastonbury Festival. [edit] I posted this before this thread turned into a transphobic bin-fire, not in any way related to Matt's correct calling out of Neil's transphobic bs.
  22. She wouldn't want to warm up a massive tour with Glastonbury, but could see her rolling the tour on into next year and finishing with a few summer festivals? June 2024 seems a long way off for a tour starting in July 2023 though?
  23. If somehow it doesn't end up being GnRs, this last couple of months is going to go down in eFestival's history. Amazing scenes even by the standards of this place.
  24. Hootenanny and Taskmaster dual-appearances, starting 2023 as she means to go on.
