Ah yeah was desperate to get my oasis pun in … it seems the emails are pretty instantaneous responses now so worth doing again now if no reply …. Loads seem to have also gone to spam

What a fortuitous time to have four days off.

I honestly didn't think this would ever happen, my reasoning being that Noel was such a fan of The Beatles and The Jam and they never reformed. I kind of feel less of him for this lol.

Do you think The Jam could fill Wembley Stadium?

C'mon Weller. Step up to the plate.

Edit: Still waiting for the email. Filled the thing out twice now.

Edit 2: That "How many times have you seen Oasis?" question. Well it's three. But also NGHFB six times and Liam three (two Glastos and a Stones support, so kind of accidentally). Should I have counted them?

Noel has a £25,000,000 divorce bill to pay which is exactly the payout he’s getting for these reunion gigs.

Some are skeptical that these gigs will actually happen knowing the relationship but I think they will because Noel has no choice and Liam was always up for it.

I went to Bolton that tour and we got Jonny Marr and The Healers instead of Doves. I think JM is rereleasing the Healers stuff? He could be a safe bet too.

Did you go on the Saturday when soneone climbed up the speakers & they stopped the gig?

Good gig, but I felt they were never as good live once Bonehead left

I think it was Sunday. Can’t remember an awful lot tbh, not through excesses but just so long ago!

Had it confirmed from an impeccable source that Courteeners are supporting all Manchester dates (not doing the London ones).

How reliable is the source? Always right? I don't like the Courteeners so hope it's wrong haha

Excellent I'd take that. Blossoms London?

Surely Blossoms could play Manchester as well?

Planning on going to London, and not interested in Courteeners or Blossoms, but surely Blossoms would be 3rd down on the bill at best?

    • TVOD are playing Blue Basement in London 2/9 with a complete EOTR/Psych Fest shaped hole before their next gig in Lyon on 8/9. Well received in the Big Top last year, reckon they're nailed on for a secret set in the Tipi.
    • Didn't they widen the entrance last year to enable them to increase the number of pitches or have I imagined this? Perhaps they might return under a different form of glamping?    Just had another thought - Or even rent the land to the festival for CV pitches.......
    • It should forever be the Tipi.   Just as the news about Geese was shared on Twitter.
    • It really surprised me that Rock AM Ring made Download feel like an extremely well organised festival with good communication in comparison. If we were to ever try either of them again we would go for IM Park and stop in Nuremberg.     Agree that the long thin mainstage isn't great, but where the mainstage is makes it really hard to navigate when it is busy because of that choke point created by the food vendors, bar/lounges with a view of main and where the crowd is coming form second stage. The concrete is hard on the joints. The front standing is a pisstake and the communication from the fest about what is happening on site other than which campsites are filling up leaves a lot to be desired. Car parks being a free for all doesn't help either.   I think it really suffers being so far from anything other than small towns/villages that lack proper public transport and Koblenz being the closest town which you can can use to get public transport to the fest being 60km away.
    • Yeah its absolutely on me that isn't think Shinia Twain was an awful choice- i get that.  Im still of the paul simon, ELO kind of thoughts but I realise things change. Im still intrigued what constitutes legend though. Robert plant played and he wasn't a legend slot- to me that would have fitted. Is it a ' comedy ' ' good time ' slot now? Comedy isn't the right word - guilty pleasure or something like that?
