Your Glastonbury Breakfast - Official Thread 2023

Whats your go to Breakfast? Obviously some will have cooking facilities some wont.

I've got a little Campingaz BBQ - On that I'll be doing Spam & Egg Bagel Thins for the troops.

I know Spam can be extremely divisive but it's easy to store and works lovely in a Bagel thin. 

It's nothing fancy but will be a nice setup to the day.

Had a stove last year so it was a mix between bacon and sausage sarnies (which were divine) and doughnuts, pastries (brought with us) and coffee.

Water, Berroca, can of Coke.

Crisps, pasta or noodle pot, some other snacky things. It's the one time of day I will definitely eat so trying and fill up.

Back on the cans and cocktails - usually espresso or French martinis.

Some years I have done bacon rolls etc but I now can't be bothered with the extra stuff it means I have to take so just take a small spider stove & kettle for hot water.

We camp near the Coop though so that does provide some extra brekkie options now.

Can of coke and a cigarette. Right as rain.

Berocca and some painkillers if needed, hangovers aren’t as bad since I started taking SIS tablets before going to sleep, so painkillers rarely required now. Then walk over to No Bones Jones and grab something, usually the vegetable pakoras with tomato salsa and feta & watermelon salad. It’s nice and fresh and feels like a healthy start to the day. Use to also have a beer with it to start the day but now I try not to start drinking until slightly later in the day.

3) Linda Mcartney breakfast bap.

Big brekki sets up a good day.

Bacon and egg batch and a cup of strong tea with plenty of sugar in, feel great after that and ready to get on the ale again.

Litre of water, berocca, cup of tea, then bacon sandwich or a toastie.

Wait a few hours then have a nice meal from WH area, something with lots of veggies and protein. 

Then crack on with a Brothers. 

Very different from when we first started going to festivals and “breakfast” was can of cider, a shot and a fag.

bacon, cheese and mayo sandwich, with toast rather than bread, washed down with buckets of real coffee, and served to me with a smile by the wife. 🙂

Coffee and a smoke.

Then wander into it and see what takes my fancy. No set preference for breakfast, big fan of mixing it up.  Always partial to a dahl and some bread if I can find something en route.

Peach ice tea, possibly a rehydration thingo in it if required - some kind of cereal bar or two, banana and apple, and finally a big dirty chai latte. (The chai latte powder with half a spoon of instant coffee in - I hate coffee but in a dirty chai it’s fine, as long as it doesn’t taste too coffee-ey!)

Greenpeace's. Watching Power Ballad Yoga / joining it and eating after if on time. Or a nice curry of some kind.

There used to be a place in the park which did the best sausage sarnies but haven’t seen it there for a few years. The frozen margarita place on the walk from the Other to West Holts was a personal game/life changer last year!

I don't really get the berocca thing. Its just a bog standard multi vitamin but its 20 times the price of the others.

Coffee from Proper Coffee on Williams Green and a cereal bar, then if I’m feeling flush, a breakfast bap from Eat the Farm for £5 which usually keeps my full until the evening

Ton of water, fruit pot and an espresso martini at the tent. Then I go find some potatoes or bread-based food on my way to my first stage

Cup of tea and a porridge pot at the campsite, possibly chased down with a noodle pot. Then a black coffee and, if I'm near the Goan Seafood stall, a kedgeree.
