  1. There's two VIP levels, Luno Garden and Luno Pit/View. The garden one just gives you access to a VIP bar, seating area and flushing loos. Can't remember that the prices were any cheaper, there was a nice cocktail bar doing things not from a can. The Luno Pit gets you into both the bar area and the front pit on the main stage. View last year was great and very convenient as it wasn't massively full, but its obviously only for the one stage and I don't think worth paying another £100 for. Last year I got a Luno Garden ticket on twickets for about £60, and I won Luno Pit for another day.
  2. Last year the bands started about 2pm on Friday, so it probably opens around then
  3. Please Kill Me, the oral history of punk is a great favourite of mine, and the same kind of oral history format of Meet me in the bathroom.
  4. I was in Sticklinch and generally enjoyed it. Used to camp in Dairy/Paines so felt the walk was acceptable, although we were in an Octopad which was literally as far away as possible. I only used the showers twice as the queues were fairly long at peak times, and I never bothered queueing for any breakfast or coffee. Flushing loos were nice (apart from the Friday downtime) and it was generally a good, quiet area. I really enjoyed being 5 mins from the car, and having a tent and beds set up already. We also got out super quick on Monday around 11am, just got stuck in some Worthy View traffic as we went south of the site.
  5. It's on the last tier of tickets so selling reasonably well, although I don't think it will be a total sell out. Last time they played it sold out a month or two beforehand and I had absolute hell trying to get tickets on the days leading up to it. O2 did a deal last year for buy one get one free that might run again, otherwise I wouldn't expect cheap tickets aside from resale if it doesn't sell out.
  6. I’m watching the Gorillaz set now and it’s bloody great
  7. My friend tried all the new M&S cocktails the other day (she was very excited!) and said they are all good. Some a bit sweet, but much better than usual canned cocktails.
  8. Yes! I had voted for the set and was very excited to hear what songs they would pick. Getting to see Better Living and Fun Machine was brilliant, didn’t regret missing Beyoncé for a moment.
  9. Yeah it absolutely reminds me of earlier field days. I used to love those and I'm very excited if Wide Awake continue in this vein. Although I would love it even more if it was in East London!
  10. Bought a bunch of MOTH espresso martini and margarita cans as they are doing 15% off over easter
  11. Isn’t the posting date and time an obvious clue it might not be real?
  12. Model/Actriz got added which I suspected as they are playing the Lex on Thursday, worth checking out if you like post-punk/dance-punk/noise
  13. Via the A303, up to shepton mallet then I think the A371 across to Wells, although its been a good few years since we last did this so my memory might be spotty!
  14. When we drive from London we loop up to Wells and down via Glastonbury town, so we come down to the car parks from the North East, gets us into Pink/Orange. If you come from the A37 side you end up in Blue/Purple. They close off some roads going across so you can't go directly over
  15. Ton of water, fruit pot and an espresso martini at the tent. Then I go find some potatoes or bread-based food on my way to my first stage
  16. I’ve stayed til about 3ish in the afternoon then slowly packed down, it was quite nice. We did however have a bunch of our camp sleeping outside around our tents so it was clear they were not for the taking.
  17. Pre-party for wide awake, excited to hopefully see Psychedelic Porn Crumpets and Slift!
  18. That looks like a Uk festival has her as an exclusive then? All points east as it’s late august?
  19. They were due to play an APE day last year but had to pull out due to Stu being ill. Hopefully that means they have booked them again
  20. I found the sound for Chems was pretty bad and I moved around a bit. Gorillaz and Nick Cave were good, but I was right at the front for both. Weirdly when I saw The Strokes there we had good sound. Maybe we were under the single cranked up speaker? 😂

    Brixton Crush

The two nights option was very limited and only advertised by the promoter I think, I only got the email after I had bought two separate ones.
  22. Strokes day is looking good; Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Amyl and Black Midi all big draws for me. Plus I missed the Strokes at Primavera last year as they cancelled the first weekend. Last year I ended up either winning loads of tickets, or getting them cheaper off Twickets and the 2-4-1 deal so I probably won’t buy straight away.
  23. Yeah they did, they usually have some touring guests plus an extra bonus one who happens to be near, but Glasto getting Mark E Smith and Lou Reed was pretty special, on top of Shaun Ryder and Snoop
  24. Very happy to see Aphex Twin back again. At the last field day I got too spangled while watching Slowdive, we went into the hangar after and it was too much for us so we had to leave 😂. Also got very lost leaving and kept heading towards RTJ instead of the exit.
