  1. Hah! We were probably sat right next to you for Johnny Marr. 😄
  2. I think we're due a Pulp and a Florence. I'd love to see KoL again. However, this year just gone was one of the weakest in terms of the lineup so far, but was actually by far my favourite year so far.
  3. Yeah, if I miss 2024 I'll be upset but equally it would save a lot of money. There are also smaller festivals I want to check out as well like We Out Here and maybe even Download (OK not small, but smaller).
  4. I can't say I blame you. I had a panic as the campsite we've been using for London gigs was full. I did find another one but obviously not happening now, but only lost £20. Coming from up north though could be tricky. I know that Electric Ballroom has quite an early curfew though as they have club nights. Probable be all done by 10:30pm, so could make last train?
  5. I would guess so. I was chatting to some girl who roped in like 15 friends to all try for her and then was going to hand over their ticketmaster account so she could use it. Feeling very anxious about Glasto ticket day now. I usually have a pretty good run on tickets, but I've missed out on two other events lately.
  6. No for me either. Also twats are selling them on Viagogo for over £700 already. I hate them.
  7. Sidenote, if anybody gets their email can you come and let us know!
  8. On the request it looks like mobile to app delivery only. I think if you buy it it HAS to be your ticketmaster login to work. I don't think you can pass on
  9. Oh, absolutely hands down. It's like 1,500 capacity? Just have to keep fingers crossed. Personally I'd rather pay more for a smaller gig like that than a huge stadium gig.
  10. I'm secretly hoping that a lot of people were a) put off by price b) couldn't get through. 🙊 Everything crossed though. Most people I spoke to about it said they couldn't afford it/get time off/get back from Camden/too short notice etc.
  11. If what I've just done pulls off then problem solved
  12. This! The ferry is rather extortionate. We are old fuddy duddies and joined the caravan club to get cheap ferry travel. Even with the discount its £210
  13. I'm so torn about IOW. The crowd was just so weird this year and it's been the only festival I had some pinch points I felt scared in (due to the sea of camping chairs rigth at the front and that weird thin field), but those are three of my fave acts. I'm guessing Blink are going to be at R+L, and with Green Day at IOW, leaves me hopeful for a US act for Victorious. Mumford obviously paid off from them this year and a lot of people I know who never do the festival came. I'd LOVE something pop punk like Avril or Fall Out Boy, it was always a super popular genre in Pompey anyway. Liam would be amazing as well. Not fussed by Florence, I saw her tonnes when she was starting out in pubs etc.
  14. It's a data f**k up pure and simple. It's one of those things where they've had to get everybody to re-opt in as per GDPR. They've created a system, the system has failed, the data has been deleted. There would be far more repercussions if they were keeping data illegally than what's happened. The fairweather people will all still forget again I reckon. We just have to hope the ticket gods are kind to us. It's sh*t and I really feel for everybody who has orchestrated for this only to be f**ked over. 😞
  15. Ughhh, well that's scuppered my plan. Not sure what to do now...
  16. I think so. After such lacklustre line-ups in recent years and general meh line-ups this year on all festivals. I reckon it'll have a surge on Sunday after the glastonbury ticket sale EDIT: I mean it sold out this year with Robbie
  17. I did this this year and I was exhausted. We were staying in a flat in Ryde as well and meandering through when we fancied it. I think the plan is: Try and get Glastonbury tickets as expected If not then get Isle of Wight tickets (I've already booked our external campervan pitch for £20 lol) If we do get Glasto, get Sunday tickets for Green Day and do the red eye ferry back from Fishbourne. And you're right, worst problems to have 🙂
  18. I absolutely don't know what to do now. I LOVE Glasto, but prodigy, pet shop boys and Green Day are some of my fave bands. I also get discounted ferry to the islands and have a camper... and it's like... an hour's faff for me? I couldn't afford to do both. Argh IoW why have you done this to me!!!!???
  19. Now the question is is do I still go for Glastonbury or do I cut my losses and just go for the IoW? I get cheap travel on the ferry and have the camper, literally live stonesthrow from the island... can take the kids as well.
  20. Also, I will eat my hat for poopooing Green Day.
  21. OOF, that's strong. Feeling very tempted.
  22. Action plan is in place. I know that the ticket Gods will decide and I know that committment and having a plan will help overall. BUT I am very nervous and will be quite sad if I don't get to go. However I will understand.
  23. My sister's kids grew up on the island (they've all left home/started their own families etc now) and all their mums, dads and nans go for a nice day out. 😆 I had a good time myself this year, I've enjoyed it before and there were some amazing acts but some of the crowd was... weird. I do love the Island deeply though.
  24. Muse fair point but the Foos was in 2006!
  25. Just said this on the Glastonbury thread, the crowds that were watching Gabrielle, Robbie and George Ezra do not strike me as the people who will be ripping it up to Nice Guys Finish Last or Welcome To Paradise. Stranger things have happened mind, and I've seen Fall Out Boy, Foos and KoL at the festival but that was like... 10 years ago ago. It's been more George Ezra and Lionel Ritchie since then.
