Let's give this a go then:

FRIDAY

Pyramid: Billie Eilish // Haim // Elbow // Olivia Rodrigo // Kacey Musgraves // Candi Staton
Other: Queens Of The Stone Age // Run The Jewels // Fredo // Carly Rae Jepsen // St Vincent // Declan McKenna // Lianne La Havas // Happy Mondays
West Holts: Michael Kiwanuka // Burna Boy // Arlo Parks // Thundercat // Black Uhuru // Brittany Howard // Snarky Puppy // KOKOKO!
John Peel: Headie One // Mogwai // Jessie Ware // The Jesus & The Mary Chain // Clairo // Bree Runway // Shygirl // Alfie Templeman // Dry Cleaning
Park: Jamie XX // Laura Marling // Kelly Lee Owens // Shame // Romy // Black Midi // Holly Humberstone // Warmduscher // The Mysterines

SATURDAY

Pyramid: Paul McCartney // Lorde // Aerosmith // Crowded House // Little Simz // Rufus Wainwright
Other: Pet Shop Boys // Phoenix // Mabel // Blossoms // Metronomy // Anna Calvi // Inhaler // The Lightning Seeds
West Holts: Kano // Kelis // Gilberto Gil // Moses Boyd // Ghetts // Laura Mvula // Tshegue
John Peel: Charli XCX // CHVRCHES // King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard // Tash Sultana // Soccer Mommy // beabadoobee // Berwyn // LUMP // The Big Moon
Park: Manic Street Preachers // Big Thief // Fontaines D.C. // girl in red // Gogo Penguin // Sylvan Esso // Cat Le Bon // Black Country, New Road // Otoboke Beaver

SUNDAY

Pyramid: Elton John // Tyler The Creator // Wolf Alice // Diana Ross // Sigrid // Herbie Hancock
Other: Jorja Smith // AJ Tracey // Sam Fender // Aitch // Yungblud // Tom Grennan // Sports Team // The Staves // Griff
West Holts: Bicep // Seun Kuti & Egypt 80 // TLC // Celeste // Nubya Garcia // Pa Salieu // Genesis Owusu
John Peel: Idles // Primal Scream // Phoebe Bridgers // Rina Sawayama // Jehnny Beth // Iceage // Tops // The Lathums
Park: London Grammar // The Smile // Rosin Murphy // Japenese Breakfast // Porridge Radio // Flohio // Squid // Confidence Man

Realistically, I think we are probably more likely to end up with Foals or something rather than Tyler but a man can dream. No idea on who the pop act could be so I chucked in Olivia Rodrigo to keep Matt happy! Feel like I could be way off with some of the placements too (sorry CHVRCHES fans...)

This is beautiful, I'd be rinsing the brunch options at the park every day. I'd only really request Confidence Man a bit further up coz I'd be in no fit state to provide the level of boogie they deserve that early

Aye, Confidence Man first thing in the Park on the Sunday is a real test of dedication.

Great work. Would be surprised to see any of the Aussie artists. Can't see them being aloud out of the country even by June 2022.

Caribou will still play.

So good to see this predictions again.

id struggle on Friday night, even tho Kiwanuka is class he’s not the Friday party vibes I’d be on the look out for.

Soccer Mommy into Tash Sultana is a bit of me but think both would be better suited to Park.

Friday I’d have to leave Queens early to go dance the night away to Jamie XX

Saturday on the pyramid is ridiculous!! Not sure i’d move all day

Sunday ending with a big Elton singalong would be amazing.  Would be gutted to miss IDLES though.

Not a bad shout that lad. I'd be happy enough with it. Friday until Billie I could just potter anywhere as it's not to my taste's but that's fine. I think it will look a bit more beefed up mind.

I'd be pretty happy with that, loads of clashes Friday evening as always. Tyler is an interesting shout, I reckon he'd be an Other headliner rather than Pyramid sub but that would be a really great booking.

I don't think Phoenix would play that high up these days, 4th/5th down on Other or headlining JP again for them if they're back. Fontaines DC look pretty low down too, they'd be a Park headliner these days but more likely 3rd/4th down on Other. I think you've got CHVRCHES bang on though.

Along with this.

I think it's actually the opposite. I don't see acts like Confidence Man, Dry Cleaning, Squid, BCNR being that early on those stages. So it probably needs to be a little more lowball with some much lesser-known bands in early slots.

I must’ve stopped looking half way ‘cause now that you mention it the bottom few acts on WH/JP/Park are definitely too strong yeah. No idea why Matt thinks acts are in inflated positions.

I'd take that line-up in a heartbeat. If I'm being honest, 2020's line-up wasn't my favourite and I'd probably put it as the weakest since 2015 for my music taste. But that line-up would rival 2016, and maybe even beat it for me.

Fri: Kiwanuka > Mogwai > Arlo Parks > Shame > Black Midi > Dry Cleaning

Sat: Macca > Lorde > Fontaines D.C. > Crowded House > Metronomy > Black Country, New Road

Sun: Elton > The Smile / Primal Scream > Phoebe Bridgers > Diana Ross > Sports Team > Iceage > Squid

If it looked something like that, it would be pretty good compensation in my opinion for two cancelled festivals.

I find the Park really hard to judge as they always seem to get acts in slots I would have thought were too small for them - Idles and King Princess from 2019 especially come to mind (Idles sold out ally pally the year they played 3rd down on the Park...)

Acts like BCNR, Squid etc. may be big in music circles but I don't think they sell as well as you expect. BCNR for example are playing Electric Brixton a few months before Georgia is playing there (who was in a similar slot in 2019)

Agreed though that the lower placings like those are the ones I am least sure about...

Whenever anyone posts a lineup in this thread I always, like everyone else, mentally plot my way through these imaginary festivals. Bouncing from act to stage to act and back again…

When I was a younger man (my first festival was 21 years ago, which is depressing) a festival lineup was something to be attacked. Any time between 11am and midnight that wasn’t spent watching something was wasted time. It was exhausting! These days as long as there’s a headliner I want to see and 3/4 other acts that really interest me then I’m happy.

The days of cramming a dozen acts in a day are long gone.

Glastonbury 2019 was the first year I calmed down a bit. I have way more energy for enjoying 3-4 acts and a headliner a day than trying to see an act at every time slot.

Barely saw anything last time, mainly because it was just too hot to move.

Slowthai? Nah, not walking all the way over there. Where’s the shade?

Fontaines? In a tent? Are you mad?

I think its a needs must thing for me. If the day is full of stuff I want to see then I have to at least try. But I definitely find myself not wanting a line up to be too good so I don't have the stress of clashes and running around for 12 hours. Strange thing to hope for really.

Carl Cox in The Glade was the perfect afternoon jam.

We went over to Slowthai and almost booked alive.
