I have tickets for 4 upcoming gigs. 2 are Craig Finn and Wilco, all very well, I can talk about this in public. The other 2 are Michael Buble and Jamie Cullum.

I might be wrong but I don't think there's much social stigma in liking Jamie Cullum or even The Bubble, is there? I get that some people don't like them, and vocal jazz as a genre can be cheesy, but these guys have got solid reps for delivering the goods live.

I saw a Jamie Cullum secret set at Glastonbury this year - albeit accidentally, as we just wandered into BBC Introducing when he started.

He then proceeded to make a pig's ear of the lyrics to Come Together.

The 4 song run of High, You're Beautiful, Wisemen and Goodbye My Lover on Back to Bedlam by James Blunt is just immense and definitely top 5 starts to an album in the 21st century.

I can understand this to a certain extent in terms of listening to music. I’ll never be gripped by a great new album in the same way that I would have in my teens and early twenties, irrespective of the quality of it.

I often think I’m getting too old for gigs/festivals now I’m settling into my 40’s as well, but the top and bottom is that I still have more fun at them then anywhere else on this planet!!

Slipknot are one of the best acts I've ever seen live and should headline the Other.

Kanye's post Twisted Fantasy output has been largely pants.

George Ezra was one of the highlights of Glasto 19.

Thinking About You is one of my favourite Radiohead tunes.

I don't think I'd ever see Coldplay either at their own gig or a festival, but if I did I'd probably cry during Fix You.

I think that about Hot Fuss. Jenny through to All These Things is one of the greatest runs on any record.
