I’ve stewarded with Oxfam before and loved it but I’d like to do it with my partner, who hasn’t, but trying to bring him round to the idea of it so feel like it’s a project for next year. That’s a good deal that they’re offering though, can’t believe shindig places aren’t already full for Oxfam!

Yeah I don’t mind it but I’m a very deep sleeper (managed to get to sleep in Park Home Ground with the Arcadia spider firing off in the background and sleep through the night) and normally wake quite early at festivals, so doesn’t bother me as much as it would a light sleeper. Agree that it’s like a reminder that things are starting to get going 😁

Specific quotes weren't put up, just an off-hand remark by the writer about venues being poorly run before waffle about wanting to do something else to help. It's probably not helped the schadenfruede that seems to have broken out in response at the venue's opening being delayed.
