It’s more than just those bands.

Put it this way. If every member on here bitched about the bands they were above as much as you, we'd basically have no forum. And I don't even really like Catfish.

For a pretty liberal forum where 90% of the people are clearly pretty sound, discussing a festival that represents kindness and acceptance and all that other malarkey, the amount people get shot down on here for liking a non-pre-approved band is ridiculous.

Well I apologise if I've upset your delicate sensibilities but frankly I'm not sure why you're singling me out here. Other than ripping on Catfish and Courteeners I'm really not that bad. As I've said, it's a forum - people laugh, joke, slag off the things they don't like, it's all part of it. I don't get pissy when someone has a pop at something I like.

Works both ways - you say something even slightly non-positive about some acts here and the downvotes start. Usually by people who don’t contribute much other than to downvote. But as Hugh says above, we all like stuff that other people don’t. I don’t get upset when c*nts slag off Radiohead.

I always think of Courteneers as one of those bands you have a vague feeling you liked a bit, but when you check on Spotify they've released 5 albums since the last song you heard, and all the new ones sound the same as each other.

Well with the very sad news of Keith Flint’s passing we’ve also had the confirmation from Emily that The Prodigy were lined up to play the festival this year, more than likely as a Other headliner. Real shame they won’t get to perform at the festival one last time with Keith up front controlling the crowd.

I hope the Prodigy find away to still do it. Obviously Keith is irreplaceable but it would be a fitting tribute to dedicate a Glastony headline appearance to him.

Sounds pretty spot on and is probably something that would’ve been in tons of peoples predictions had many people expected The Prodigy to show up this year.

Fingers crossed for something better than a Courteeners bump up, although they’re probably just about big enough for it to happen without people complaining that they’re too small.

Everyone on here knows I am not in the know in any way at all, just a fan like most of us on here. I do trust what the my friend said today though. It was 11:26 when she mentioned it on our Whattsapp group which was well before Emily posted.

Fair enough. Thank you, good info. I do think with there being plenty of time to go, they'll find a replacement without having to bump up though.
