Respectfully have to disagree, this is actually the best line up so far this year.

It's almost like different people like different things.

I get that the Parklife line-up is very good for people who like that sort of thing but there's maybe 3 acts I'd have a vague interest in. Whereas at Y-Not (though it's not one Id go to) there are at least 14.

Which is the beauty of Glastonbury. You could go and have a Parklife festival and I could have a Y-Not stylee one and maybe we could both end up at an act that wouldn't appear at either.

I would go see Elkie Brookes for sure.

I turn my back for a few hours...

First time I've heard Elkie Brooke's mentioned since mum used to play her best of CD as a kid. Where the hell did this come from?

Ageism at its finest.

Campaign for Elkie Brooks's Sunday Soothers lunchtime on the Acoustic prior to Rod taking the stage on the big one.

that’s wild!! i’ve been a big Louis Cole fan for about five years but i’ve never seen a lineup where he is even close to top billing, let alone on the same level as Capaldi! hell, to be above YYYs is completely unfathomable to me. just goes to show how popular some artists can be in different regions

    • Sadly, the ticket map below screams rear 5 blocks not on sale or never have been on sale. Especially when you look at the blue blocks with rows of unsold tickets.   And I say all of this as a big fan of Muse.
    • Personally, I don't think there will be any changes to the queuing system in place for the 2025 sale.  GFL will be aware that true bots are a risk, but they may also see large collectives of organised folks running multiple devices, containers or profiles to get an advantage as bots themselves, and then struggle to know where to draw the line without penalising folks who are simply more on the ball than others.   They will also be acutely aware that engineering tech to close those gaps will cost, and therefore eat into the money they are able to pass to the Charities, without passing those costs on to punters in the ticket price, which they will be cautious of doing especially after a 2 year break and the inevitable media coverage that will get.   This may all be naive and overly trusting of me though.....
    • went to their album launch show last night at the george tavern. it was fantastic! absolutely roasting in there though
    • I got mine yesterday but they sent the wrong ticket link, so had to email Ticketmaster and get the right one.    As for predictions, hard to see who else could do the Pulp/Sting/Byrne slot other than the Cure, and since they did Isle of Wight they maybe have an FR deal (Sting did both). It’s also the Cure’s 50th next year so imagine they’ll be doing a bigger tour. Pet Shop Boys or Kylie maybe?   Wolf Alice would be a dream. It’ll probably all be men again though.
    • Probably a couple of months yet....last ticket sale announcement was 10th October 2024.
