  1. https://gigaddict.co.uk/boomtown-interview-reinvent-2021/ Over 90% of tickets sold for 2020 have been carried over. More than I expected to be honest!
  2. Not sure about the secret lineups. After the Area 404 last minute lineup announcements for last Halloween being a bit disappointing, I'm a bit apprehensive. However, I had a great time that night, so I'm sure I'll have a fun time at this rebooted Boomtown!
  3. When do day tickets normally come out for this?
  4. Closer to three minutes, I'd say.
  5. I have a friend who has mentioned that their label's event at Printworks in December isn't going ahead; he said that there's no events at Printworks at the end of the year as far as he is aware.
  6. Printworks postponed dates: £10 bar tab if you keep the ticket. Seeing as though I only paid £15 for Hybrid Minds, that's pretty solid. Just annoying that Kings of the Rollers (Royal Rumble) clashes with Foals for me. Could always do the beginning of the event at Printworks and leave at like 6.30, I guess.
  7. Childish Gambino album is out on streaming services now.
  8. Nah, the reunion will happen in the past, mate.
  9. https://twitter.com/BoomtownFair/status/1233021208783925255?s=20 1st District announcement (Area 404) tomorrow at 1pm. Every Tuesday and Friday until it's all announced from now on, I think?
  10. The first year had Catfish headlining. One day of MOR indie is fine. I wouldn’t go personally, but I’m sure they’ll be some kids who listen to them through the magic algorithms of Spotify playlists who wouldn’t mind going especially if the price is right. It’s not a good booking but this is a bit of an overreaction. Like scrapping a festival just because they booked the kooks? They could easily reduce it into a three day one weekend festival or four days on the Saturdays and Sundays.
  11. £126.45 after fees for two.
  12. Had a quick look and it seems that there's a train from Reading to Paddington at 12.24am, 12.54am and then 2.24am. So it doesn't seem like you'd be stuck in Reading until the morning. It's what I'm going to do anyway, unless anything changes with the trains due to it being a bank holiday.
  13. Just because you repeatedly post about it doesn't make it any more likely.
  14. The only negative for Houghton is the alcohol restriction; 8 cans of beer/cider or one bottle of wine. Appreciate that it is really not important in the grand scheme of things but that seems extreme to me.
  15. The sound at Boomtown improved a lot last year (at least compared to 2018) and the big stages close at 3am on Friday and Saturday (some smaller stages go on until 4am). However, they do shut down everything at midnight on Sunday (I would recommend going into the Hidden Woods afterwards on that night). Would love it if Boomtown could get a 24 hour license like Houghton; that is Houghton's big USP. Basically, I would highly recommend Boomtown, but Houghton looks amazing as well.
  16. You didn't see the Strokes at APE last year, did you?
