I actually managed to nab a pair of £25 Coldplay tickets for the Friday night date. At that price why not?

Annoyingly though as I was doing that Idles sold out on Dice.

25 is amazing, I can’t believe there are any that cheap! I assume that is for the back of the back seats, but still amazing

Immense - will be in for Brixton. Likely West Holts headliners?

I'm going to do Leeds and Manchester. Would have definitely been at Brixton but already seeing The War on Drugs that night.

As much as I love them (and Superstylin' is one of my favourite songs ever) I'm not sure they're big enough to headline WH these days - I actually struggle to place them.

Reckon they might add another Glasgow one as well.  First one sold out almost as soon as they went on sale. Especially after setting up the stage and infrastructure for just one gig.

second Glasgow now added

Side view up in the gods, but should give a pretty good view of the lights and whatnot.

I reckon they could easily sell those tickets for 3 times as much, so good on them for making them available to people who can't afford more. Far away from the band, but I expect the atmosphere will still be pretty special.

They had tickets + vinyl still on sale when I looked earlier, but I've already got the vinyl on order and don't want to buy twice.

Bit cheeky really, seems like there are plenty more ticket + record than there were GA tickets.

Yup was buying for a group so couldn't plump for the vinyl + tickets as would have been a complete waste, albeit £33 still decent enough value

Interestingly  more pitch standing suddenly appeared at the same time for the first date so picked up a couple of them.  That must have pissed off bigstyle those who went for the expensive corporate tickets when it looked like that was all that was left.

For the amount of stick Coldplay get on here, a hell of a lot of you are going to see them.

That's very true, they do seem to cop for an absurd amount of stick on here. They have released some great music, some shit music but most of it is somewhat in between. What can't be denied Is that they do deliver a great live performance. I was really excited for their performance and they delivered, helped by a storming set from Faithless beforehand. Saw them again when they headlined in 2016, mainly because there weren't a lot of options elsewhere. However, the light show was immense and they gave it their all. I wouldn't pay to see them again but if they played on the farm again, I'd consider seeing them again.

I mean I don't really give a fuck as got the tickets I needed for my mother but if I was a fan of Coldplay I would be very annoyed with all these dates being drip fed out, just release the 6 in one go and it saves lots of people panicking and buying dates they don't really want then trying to swap afterwards.

Same with Liam Gallagher at Knebworth/Etihad/Hampden etc etc

Yes, folk desperate to get tickets would have bought the corporate or hotel packages, spent hundreds and then discovered more are dates added. @CaledonianGonzo Is correct, hold your nerve especially if their schedule has  free days  like the Hampden gig. It was obvious if the sale went instantly they would add another especially with all the infrastructure in place.  I don’t mind Coldplay bur Mrs C was keen to go so was happy to bag standing tickets at face value.

Now wonder if this still lights up ?

    • sub yes I could see but I don't think they get 1hr 15, a headliner starting at 18:15 though is unlikely. Even the recent co-headlines that have had like 1hr 15 then a 1hr 30 after were on 8pm or just before, you are trailing behind more than 1.5 hours then. In that scenario some 3rd down bands are only starting at 18:15 and some haven't lol. I agree they won't not book them due to this but it won't be 6 headliners. It would be 5 headliners and you wouldn't want to see 5 headliners booked but Biffy were to not be thouhgt of as an option for one. Wolf Alice on the other hand could sub no bother and you'd think nothing of it. I'm not so sure Biffy would get headline though after the festival choice in Kendal this year.
    • Definitely. UKIP also used Merkel welcoming 1 million Afgans to Europe in 2015 during the brexit vote.   Politicians in other countries within the EU know the are going to lose voters to parties to the right of them over stuff like this and they've no control over it.
    • I think it will very much vary on who there is to book who they know will sell out a day.    They’ve co-headline and full headline stuff in future, there no reason at all they won’t do it again, even if it means cutting someone’s set by 15 mins or having a band less in a big bands day…   They’re not going to not book Foo fighters and instead get the equivalent of Florence and C&S just to not have a band do a big set…   …unless of course they think it will make them more money…
    • Maybe some right wing leaders like Meloni are just playing to their base, like Reform have been here talking about them ending up at Calais.
    • Citizenship via investment programs basically work by saying if you invest this much in our economy (say buy a property worth x) then we will either grant you citizenship or residency with a route to it. The EU has rules on how low countries can set the bar. Montenegro was one of the easier ones to get and they've had to tighten it up.
