Indeed, if ever there was a song to make you sit down in a bar it would be that one.

Culchies absolutely lap it up. Music for men in Subaru jackets with enormous hands like shovels and an unfeasible amount of dirt under their finger nails.

Culchies. Culchies everywhere...

I have no idea what a culchie is.

Big shovel hands are a sign of enhanced evolution.

True fact

Killers were great on tour after glasto in 2017, saw them in brum, the band members missing were all skill and no personality, Brandon and Ronnie are the heart of the show and the sessions musicians did a great job

Agreed, I saw them in Liverpool and they were fantastic.

Could have done without the support act though.

Just a little thing and can't remember if already posted it a while ago but Brandon Flowers recently spoke to Zane Lowe on Beats 1 and when asked if they'd be coming over for any summer festivals he said:

"Our booking agent's getting a few offers and I'm sure we'll hit a couple of 'em."

Can't remember if that was UK or Europe more generally though.

As much as it's not a very efests lineup I think a top two of The Killers and Liam Gallagher will go down really well, better than the other nights anyway. I don't really have much desire to see them again, I don't think they'd top their 2017 set, but they're a pretty solid option in the unlikely event there's not much else on.

I loved them when Hot Fuss came out. Enjoyed them in the JP in 04, great in 05 (who were they on before, was it White Stripes?), 2007 was a massive disappointment, and I liked Sam's Town. Of course, not helped by the fact they sounded like it was being played through a yoghurt pot on a bit of string. Think I last saw them in 2009? So maybe I'm ready to see them again.......

Still a bit underwhelmed on the whole though.

Don't think so.  That's not really a new development.

Pretty sure @eFestivals had been waiting for additional info to corroborate what at this stage is very old info; they've never been TBC or anything.

Anyway, looks like Neiler has hit himself a 2 fer 1 - good stuff.

    • I’ve had a good sleep and I feel weirdly zen about the whole thing.   My first Primavera, so not the greatest first impression. I guess today couldn’t be any worse, right?   Thoroughly enjoyed Men I Trust and Geese. Cupra is a beautiful stage and the crowd seemed fun, friendly and engaged.   I think it probably could have gone even worse, considering how dangerous the crowding felt at times.   Anyway, we go again.
    • Brighton centre is a weird old venue for the Mary Wallopers - a great band, a really good live spectacle, and its a saturday night as well which sets it all up - but its at the bloody Centre? a charmless nonsense of a conference centre? Brighton dome is a ten min walk away and is so much nicer a place to see bands its ridiculous!    ah well, i'll probably mosy along anyways . . .
    • So bad honestly. I get that bad weather happens but their communication was non existent. When you're managing crowds of tens of thousands of people, it's just not good enough. I left when Massive Attack was cancelled (the first time) and it genuinely did feel unsafe trying to get out. No one knew what was going on, people still sitting in the ground when there were hoards of people trying to leave, no crowd management at all...   I've been to PS enough times to know sometimes you need to just roll with it but this was way worse than "the bar queue was 30 minutes long".    Today will be better but still feel super disappointed.
