Did I see Bruce Springsteen being discussed as a possibility? Saw an FB post from him today that he's taking a break after his Broadway run and will be spending next year recording and not playing with the E Street Band, so looks like he's out for a Pyramid headline slot.

I don’t think he was ever in to be honest.

Really hoping we get Brockhampton on the farm. Slowthai and Clairo woupd be nice for me too personally

I think we'll get Asap, Brockhampton and Slowthai (Hopefully not on Sonic) from that list.

New McCartney dates announced..

8th June - Lambeau Field, Green Bay, WI
14th June - Globe Life Park, Arlington, TX
22nd June - Petco Park, San Diego, CA
13th July - Dodgers Stadium, Los Angeles, CA

Does this make him more likely? Big gap till the last one.

I would say that any new US dates that don’t encroach on the Glasto period is encouraging. If he was playing over there throughout you’d think that at least one show would have been announced by now.

Also just seen someone on twitter jjust point this out, the URL to NME's article on the longitude lineup mentions Gambino too:

www.nme.com/news/music/childish-gambino-aap-rocky-lead-first-names-longitude-festival-2019-2416856/amp

Either an accident on their part or it looks like the Gambino dream might be happening?

Anyone seen this? Scary spice saying they are in talks to headline ... allegedly

It says “Mel B finally confirmed they are in talks with bosses Michael and Emily Eavis to headline the festival” but the only relevant quotes are:

Scary Spice said: “Glastonbury. It’s been talked about. But we’re so pop and it’s so cool — that’ll be funny to me.

I think Mel C would really appreciate us doing that — she’s the cool one. She’s the cool indie chick.”

Doesn’t sound like any actual talks with the fest to me, just if’s and maybe (the  “that’ll be” is contradicted by the “would” in the next sentence). Apparently it’s on Jessie Ware’s podcast, if anyone can be bothered to give that a listen.

    • on another note, 3 weeks too early to tell weather wise, apparently they are expecting a heat wave soon but that will have probably past by the time rw comes around. Grim england this week, doesn't really set the hope too well right now but we'll see.
    • I don't think that the insider has ever got much wrong so it does seem like we'll be getting another act, rw always seem to be pretty good listening to feedback, probably why retention is so high so I guess if they can fill that final slot they will, always looked a bit strange on the schedule
    • There is a misconception that off-site camping is run by neighbouring land owners. The majority rent fields off the land owners (Camp Kerela, Pop Up, Ziggu etc), so yes a farmer may make a few quid more renting to a camping company but relationships with Michael et al mean most prefer to rent to the festival. None of the festival's off-site camping is on their own land; Worthy View, Sticklynch, Campervan East, B&W.    Holt Farm is Steanbow Farms land, so it is likely they would rent to the festival rather than a third party.
