90% of the way through bookings and over the next couple of months they're fitting people in slots and last minute changes. "Nearly there", one more announcement before Christmas 'probably'

Well.....If anyone wants to clutch the Lady Gaga straws..... the Vegas residency starts at Christmas and it's rumoured that she'll will be dropping a new album on the eve of that residency. Perhaps a Glastonbury announcement as well?

Both Gallaghers (just going on Neil's info) and either Gambino or Vampire Weekend.

I agree that having both Gallaghers subbing is daft but I just don't see where else they'll play.

It's daft but equally I can see it happening. It would look like a really glaring misstep to have 6 male artists/bands on top of the Pyramid given how many awesome female artists are around next summer.

I wonder what the deal is with Liam then.  She didn’t get as giggly and evasive as she usually gets when someone directly asks her about a booked act (but also didn’t rule him out). And the dude has zero dates lined up next year so far with shows postponed until 2020.

Reckon Noel and Liam will be round their mams for christmas dinner and they're waiting to see what happens. If they pull a cracker together then the reunion is on, if Liam throws sprouts at Noel then it's off.

tbh, knowing how childish the pair are, I bet there's an element of either not wanting to be on site on the same day or both wanting a higher slot than the other. I'm not playing if he's playing.

Aye, presumably Liam has nowt booked yet as he'd like being big news again if they kissed and made up over the turkey.

Maybe he's bailed and they've booked Noel to play instead?

Liam has already tried to stir things up like that but noel wouldn't play along, who instead said he'd like to open.

For those saying Macca will be announced it's worth noting that according to the thingy we've never had two headliners announced this side of Christmas. Plus if Macca has a BST date to announce then that would surely come first.

My money is on Kylie.

Nobody needs to worry about him selling out Hyde Park. That’ll be easy, if he is playing at all. The Stones announced two shows at BST after the Glasto gig was announced and they weren’t hindered - probably helped if anything.

Looks like Skint Spice is just trying to drum up some interest. Nothing to see here...

Maybe tell Absolute Radio who were reporting this this morning (I can't get 6 in the car and I refuse to listen to Chris Moyles).

True, but BST need to announce whoever else they've got pretty damn sharpish if they plan to sell tickets before Christmas, they're selling Robbie and Florence tickets this week I believe which means realistically they've got next week to announce and put on sale. Seems an unnecessary cramp to announce BST then say "oh I'm doing Glastonburger too!" immediately afterwards.

Then again as you say, he might not even be doing BST and this whole point might be moot.

I'm sticking with Kylie.

Kylie has a bunch of shows on sale at the moment though, doesn’t she?

Beady Eye didn't... Don't underestimate the power of the pre-morning beer hangover to dull enthusiasm.

That was Beady Eye though, and also before everyone took their smartphones to the fest.

Why would you take a Gallagher at face value?

all i'm taking at face value there is Noel refusing to indulge Liam's want of a spat.

What he said about opening i'm not taking at face value - but at the same time I don't think it's impossible, either. If they are both playing, I'm guessing their placings will have to be carefully considered.

Beady Eye were announced last minute and had already released a couple of albums to a collective shrug. The Oasis hype train has built significantly since then and I guarantee thousands upon thousands would turn up just for the DLBIA singalong (and Little By Little of course). Everyone has heard of NG and if his brother is also on site that day it'll only ramp up interest further.

Liam did dangerous numbers last year with Katy Perry up against him, what would Noel get with an African Orchestra on the Pyramid as his only competition?
