It’s a fact. Think it’s a few years old though but I can’t see the demographic having changed significantly in that time.

This is a great fact. Makes me feel much less old.

Dont know any of Ariana’s songs - only heard of her after the bombing. A quick look on Spotify though and she’s uber popular. Makes me feel old again ?

I’d be fairly surprised if this is true in itself given that Sheeran has had the second best selling album in the world and the first best selling album in the world in different years, but can only really go off wiki to prove the point.

Touche. I did try to look up stats but its all a bit confusing tbh. I think I was looking at non streaming ed numbers vs. Streaming ariana? I'm really not sure.

Damnit, why can't all of my opinions be backed up by facts.

I don't know if this has been mentioned, but Ariana Grande has this week announced the start of her 2019 world tour. The US leg has been revealed, which ends on 18 June... Could just be a coincidence, but I feel like this could be an ultimate Emily Eavis booking to get Ariana. She's probably the biggest female pop star on the planet right now, and is generally liked by the public.

Thoughts?

I'd love it if she were there! Massive respect for her after the Manchester bomb. She was amazing at the One Love concert.

I for one didn't know who Ariana Grande was until Manchester happened, and still can't name a song of hers. I know Katy Perry and Pink. But maybe that just means I'm old.

Listen to Dangerous Woman, one of the best pop records this decade imo

Fuck me, just popped in and everything is (quite wonderfully) unravelling in here.

October's been real last days of Rome shit on this forum, or a preview of post Brexit Britain perhaps.

We can't be too far off going full blown feral.

It's Halloween soon, I think we'll find out that jj200 is the spirit of that boy with no legs from that photo. He's got trapped in the efests servers and is trying his best to send a message through cryptic posts. Unfortunately he's had the side effect of inducing steadily increasing lunacy on the forums.

    • Audrey Hobert getting a lot of traction lately and new single on Friday. Wonder if she could be round next summer.
    • Think Pulp are optimistic, not in terms of size but just that they've been on the road (albeit not intensively) for 3 years in a row and it feels like EotR is the deliberate end of the cycle.   Would be fairly surprised if they're active next year.
    • 👍 plus they brought their own screens 📺 either side of the stage.
    • Production was the only thing that could even explain why she would back out. Like they had sorted out the financials and she was fine with it and then a production meeting happened. It all fell apart. It was very clear that she was not going to compromise her show one bit and then that show in Brazil pretty much confirmed it. There was like one element they couldnt pull off outdoors, but it was negligible since the rest was a carbon copy of the tour she had been on. Glasto is not willing to make any bold changes on the Pyramid stage so then theyre kinda stuck in terms of what some acts want/demand. I think the easiest solution to that is putting her on Friday. You deal with the changes for one night and then re configure for the rest of the weekend. In 24 they were fortunate to have had Dua and Coldplay on Fri and Sat so they could both use the b stage. But I think it was removed for Sunday?     I saw a random rag article earlier that said Olivia Dean turned down Glasto BECAUSE her ex ( not even confirmed dating ) Harry Styles was playing the fest. hahahaha
