Also are the killers definitely a no-go?

I missed their secret set last year, but i know they shut it down because there was insane crowding... and i know the last time they headlined it wasnt good? (I wasnt there)

Buttt i saw them about a month ago at Skookum, a festival in Vancouver... and without being a massive fan, I was extremely surprised that they put on such an awesome show.

I don't think there's any plans for them to be touring into next year, the only gig they've lined up is one in Vegas in January.

some people seem to think that they're not big enough anymore, despite them being easily as big as The 1975 (if not bigger), and much more likely than the ludicrous suggestions of Stormzy to headline.

He's never done a live performance, DJ set, or public appearance of any kind.

wtf really? I knew he stayed reasonably anonymous but I had no idea he'd never done a live performance. That sucks

They'll either headline Glastonbury or Reading this year. They're big enough.

I'm still firmly in Monkeys but The 1975 info I'd say is either a secret set in JP as said or there it a co-headliner we don't know with them at Reading meaning Glasto sub can happen. The 1975, Stormzy and Liam as subs would be huge...not sure I see it.

What was The 1975 info then? Just that Neil had heard they’d be there/headlining? Would be a much better headliner than Arctics imo. I mean, I wouldn’t go see them, and they’re hardly a risky booking, but it’d be nice to see Glastonbury giving the gig to some newer acts.

Still think they’re more likely for R/L though.

Neil just had word that they might play, not specifically headlining but highly doubt they'd play and not headline. Find it bizarre that lots of people on here don't think theyre big enough to headline.

I agree, think they will be at R/L although it wouldn't be too surprising if they did Glastonbury 2019 and then Reading and Leeds the following year like Muse and Metallica have done recently

I would guess that The 1975 info is probably for 2020 and has been mistaken somewhere down the line. No way they're playing an announced set here if they're headlining R&L outright, which seems certain to happen.

The 1975 aren't headlining Glasto in 2020 after Reading.

That's not impossible as it happens - tho what i was told was so vague it could mean just about anything.

But that does sort-of make a bit of sense as a possibility, so thanks for thinking of it and I'll keep it in mind for anything else I hear.

Have we had nothing on Gaga at all?

Her Las Vegas residency ends in the middle of June so she is around and this Star is Born stuff means it could happen.

Maybe Kylie > George Ezra > Gaga > Macca on the Sunday isnt out of the question I dont think.

There's only one person subbing Macca, and it ain't Lady Gaga

I don't see why not. They're not exactly a gamble in 2019 but you have to feel by 2020 they'll be fully recognised festival headliners. And they are regularly booking headliners on their second summer of touring these days, if Arctics and The Cure for next year are to be believed.

    • Lovely Brexit doc on bbc2 for anyone who wants to relive those golden years.
    • I think some folks are underestimating how many millennials, now into heavier music, were genuinely also into things like techno and happy hardcore in the 90s and early 00s. Scooter may be about is commercialized as it gets when it comes to happy hardcore and techno, but for many, they won't be just a 'silly act' they will be a genuine nostalgia act.
    • Can anyone share please as can’t access the app
    • Someone said something along the lines of "the lows were really low but they highs were really high" and I think that sentence sums up my ps experience this year. Thursday was a downer (even though I got to see men I trust, geese, oklou and fcukers), but the weather, the missed shows and the uncertainty (those comms...) made it a bad day. Friday and Saturday on the other hand where rly good, a bunch of amazing shows each day (The Cure one was quite something), that surprise on Saturday...   Will be back next year, hope they get another impressive lineup as this year (quality and quantity wise) and that tickets and  primarily hotels don't get much more expensive.
    • Rosalia Radiohead NIN MGMT Bjork David Byrne   Also Vince Staples' new album is cool. I could see him returning.
