if you want it to auto refresh, I knocked up this iframe that reloads the image every five mins, so always has the most recent pic:

(no https - i can't be arsed to buy a cert 🙂 )

edit: turns out I do have a cert 😄 so use this link instead:

Thanks for this link. I now have the live updating image as my desktop wallpaper.
 It’s a little bit of a large desktop, it’s a combined 4k 120” multi screen desktop so I don’t miss a thing!

Thanks … just need to find the zoom now it’s on the tv 🙂

image.jpg

I made a URL that's zoomed in and slowly pans across it, refreshes every 10mins:
http://karlgmusic.com/glastocam/screensaver.htm

smoothness varies on browser unfortunately, it's garbage on Safari, great on my TV

the woodchip mountain (if that is what you saw) is always there, gets added to nearer the time of the festival.  They have also been dumping pallets and stuff there for disposal / burning. There has been a lot of ash dieback clearance going on over the winter and there is a considerable amount of brash in piles around the site.  A lot of the wooded parts have been thinned as well, the woods by John Peel have been heavily thinned and a pathway is being constructed through them.

Cherry pickers are largely for the pointy thing, lots of people were working on it yesterday so we didn't run directly past so as to stay out of their way. One of the larger cherry pickers was being parked up by Red Gate, presumably to be collected.

generally, activity has started a month earlier than usual.

Long may the wood chip mountain remain unused. If I remember the festival used up the whole stocks of the south of England in 2016, due to the underground conditions.
We are currently in Jersey, perfect Glastonbury weather, sunny 20 degrees and lots of beer! Back to the webcam next week.

Awesome.  Thank you.

Works brilliantly on Chrome full screen.

How can I set it as my wallpaper?

I thought it looked that way - plenty of cars next to it this morning.

Also, doesn't the land look magnificent in the morning sun?

It’s a gorgeous morning in Somerset today.  Already got the cider in the fridge.

Love this - now got it running on another screen beside me as I work.  Great stuff - Thanks 👍

This is my first proper build up and I hadn't really paid much attention to the webcam before, but now having this webcam on a screen beside me is getting me really excited - I think its going to be on permanently for the next 10 weeks.

Oh, and have to agree with the other comments - the site looks absolutely glorious this morning.

Great!  On my work Mac I tried an screensaver called WebViewScreensaver but it wasn't very smooth - PC should have more options if you search for a 'web page as screensaver freeware' app and pop that URL in, I'm sure there'll be some things about!

    • I think it's just a slight shift in target audience of the festival, Andy also booked FOB    A lot of young people (me included) are nostalgic for the 2000's pop punk and nu metal rather than the 80's legacy bands    It's just the festival moving with the times I think Andy would of done the same    Although they are still booking some legacy acts like GNR but that doesn't seem to have gone well ticket sales wise
    • Trent said he’s working on new Nine Inch Nails musicnand that Coachella was the farewell show for Nine Inch Noize.   Would be over the moon to have any of the options at Prima 2027, though
