Get in! 😄😄

what a day - cv ticket secured and Elton John all but confirmed.  Don’t really care if AM and GnR are the other 2.  One night at the Pyramid is enough - and what a fucking night it will be.  Really hope it is Saturday- what a party it will be 🎉😄

Was talk of it and the only night they are free from being support for Muse.

The fact that they’re not supporting Muse that night indicated they were probably playing Glasto on the Friday.  I thought they were big enough to sub but some thought more likely to be 3rd down

The latter I believe.

Although it might not be a million miles away with Emily and Michael in Frome tonight.

I very much doubt (but would be very pleased) if Michael was in Frome this evening.

    • Chaka can, or Chaka can't?
    • TVOD are playing Blue Basement in London 2/9 with a complete EOTR/Psych Fest shaped hole before their next gig in Lyon on 8/9. Well received in the Big Top last year, reckon they're nailed on for a secret set in the Tipi.
    • Didn't they widen the entrance last year to enable them to increase the number of pitches or have I imagined this? Perhaps they might return under a different form of glamping?    Just had another thought - Or even rent the land to the festival for CV pitches.......
    • It should forever be the Tipi.   Just as the news about Geese was shared on Twitter.
    • It really surprised me that Rock AM Ring made Download feel like an extremely well organised festival with good communication in comparison. If we were to ever try either of them again we would go for IM Park and stop in Nuremberg.     Agree that the long thin mainstage isn't great, but where the mainstage is makes it really hard to navigate when it is busy because of that choke point created by the food vendors, bar/lounges with a view of main and where the crowd is coming form second stage. The concrete is hard on the joints. The front standing is a pisstake and the communication from the fest about what is happening on site other than which campsites are filling up leaves a lot to be desired. Car parks being a free for all doesn't help either.   I think it really suffers being so far from anything other than small towns/villages that lack proper public transport and Koblenz being the closest town which you can can use to get public transport to the fest being 60km away.
