They either suck it up and get on with it or they walk away and face the consequences. Yep but I'm guessing if Rod is deliberately not taking his calls he wouldn't choose to turn up on the same day as him to a festival that he knows Elton is going to be at. I'm guessing Elton has been locked in for quite a while and since even their jokier things have been ego fuelled whether he would take legend slot whilst Elton gets to headline I'm not sure. Hopefully they are back to the Sharon and Phyliss days it's kind of sad to see 2 older people especially fall out over something so silly. scaryclaireyfairy
I was absolutely terrified of Rod as a kid. Reminded me of the childcatcher. If a possible hissy fit with Dill is the only known barrier, I think it’s locked in. History with the festival an ‘ all that.

dreams_burn_down
I'll admit to not being familiar with Rod beyond his awful Tom Waits covers. Seems to fit the bill though.

CaledonianGonzo
In terms of his setlist, Rod is perfect for the slot. Perfect mix of lighters out drunken singalongs and ridiculous bangers.

nikkic
I grew up listening to Rod. My Dad loves him, seen him 20 odd times live, every album on vinyl etc. I would absolutely love it to be him.

With the talent pool shrinking it’s inevitable that sooner or later there’ll be an act who has played the festival before.

Yup, first time a former headliner will’ve done it, and he was always the obvious choice if that were to ever happen.

Ayrshire Chris
I’m well up for Rod, plenty bangers and a good Sunday sing a long. I’ll just have to bite the bullet and try and ignore the logo on his bass drum. 😉I could always ask for advice from a United fan who goes to see a Gallacher brother!
