Whilst I very much enjoy the weather thread. These things get a lot easier when you make peace with shorts and t-shirt in all weathers, joggers for the tent, and lots of booze.

Shorts are the way. Cooler if it's hot. Dry quicker if it's pissing down. Winning attire.

This unsettled weather is likely to continue for the rest of the week with most areas to see some rain...........with the chance of some stronger winds at times.

Did they really just change their forecast in a matter of minutes?

Now it reads...

Long range forecast

Monday 20 Jun - Wednesday 29 Jun

Throughout much of this period, most areas could experience dry conditions with occasional bright spells and some sunshine. There is a risk of showers, thundery at times, in the south, where it is more likely to be cloudier than elsewhere, however these areas are still expected to receive some sunny spells. The northwest also has a risk of longer spells of rain at times, which may spread to most areas through the middle of the period. Temperatures around normal, perhaps slightly cooler in the north with the chance of some stronger winds at times. Towards the end of June the best of the sunshine is expected in the south and east, bringing slightly warmer temperatures with it.

Wednesday 29 Jun - Wednesday 13 Jul

From the end of June the weather is most likely to become more settled, but the occasional period of rain or showers is still possible, especially in the northwest. Temperatures most likely near or above normal with some warm spells possible as expected for the time of year.

Legs don’t get cold. Fact.

Can confirm. I went hiking in Aberdeenshire in late march, and we had about six inches of snow over two of the hiking days: shorts were pretty much fine for all of it, aside from the last hour of the day, when ill admit it got a bit brisk around the ol nether regions. Shorts are the choice of champions.

Apart from rain on arrival day, it's fairly similar to to the latest gfs

True... But when you're religiously checking and recording every single run without fail it's the same thing is it not?

Also, I wish netweather allowed you to zoom in for more detail on the ensembles.

The other thing to note is its best to compare 06z with previous 06z and 12z with previous 12z etc.
