If there is a force field, they installed it in 2017, because in 2014, 2015, 2016 the exact opposite was true - it was the Pilton localised downpour magnet.

It’s obviously what they mean when they talk about site upgrades. People assume drainage, but you don’t need drainage if you can deflect the rain away. They are geniuses

Maybe we should all arrive Thursday instead?

To be fair, it looks worse than it is, IF that model was to hold true, which it won't, it'd just be a light shower.

This run isn't the car crash it could have been, and in fact is perfect for many, your goodself included 🙂

On to the festival itself. How will will get on?

FRIDAY

Dry, highs of 18.

Still in the balance with the low pressure.

SATURDAY

Max temps of 17, again not great. But dry.

image.thumb.png.60e1f617ed9bc299d3dc142ddb1d2468.png

The high is failing to build in.

SUNDAY

Dry, highs of 19.

image.thumb.png.d02750347d9da844dbbf4262ca4d4c26.png

Again, no real influence from the high pressure.

image.png.b5ad0d1d36a625dbf6a7e78dca3987f2.png

SUMMARY

So some rain this Sunday, but nothing to be concerned about. There is some rain around on Wednesday morning, but it's not much.

Then, unlike the recent trends, the high fails to fight back and we're left with a weekend of below-par temperatures. Would be slow drying for the Sunday and Wednesday rain.

BUT the low doesn't fully come in either, so it could have been a lot worse.

Twist for me.

I was expecting a lot worse tbh.

Temps are low but thankfully rain also looks minimal over the festival so should be ok ground condition wise.

It's nowhere near as bad as it could be but it's hardly inspiring stuff.  Just needs a little bit more high pressure to push out the lows, hopefully that will appear on the next run.

If not, may I recommend a wet suit in this trying time?

Personally I'd like it warmer BUT the rain is spot on, so we'll meet in the middle and call it quits on this one yeah Fuzz? 😉
