You remember me telling you about my ex’s mates brother whose in one of the big northern bands.

They let it slip after a few drinks the other night.

Can’t tell you which band obviously.

I predict a riot if this is true

Can someone cut and paste or screenshot it? I ain't clicking on that link.

If you use the website http://archive.ph, you can read their articles without giving them any revenue or even a click - it basically clones a copy of it. Great for getting past paywalls too. Here's the article: https://archive.ph/Yu1Tt

Looks like the US Tour is happening then…

Only word of caution is we’ve been here before. When we thought he was nailed on in 2019 he had US gigs in May/June then later added a load of extra dates over GF weekend.

Don’t think that’ll happen this time though. He’s active, let ‘em in!!

So he’ll be subbing for Kaisers, yeah?

Yeah it makes sense. Can’t expect an 80 year old to do a full 2 hour plus set. At least Ricky Wilson has got the energy levels to run around a stage for that length of time.

Got to say, given the rollercoaster ride following the festival for the last few years I am thoroughly prepared for him to announce a full summer tour of the US ruling him out completely. Logic says it must be on given the rumours, the festival trying to book the same acts, Michael saying they’ve got most of the top 2020 acts, Macca basically touring in 2020 just because he was doing Glastonbury…but fully prepared to be disappointed come this announcement tomorrow.

    • RIP Roy Hattersley
    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
