I was really excited for this, but I actually think seeing the line up is making things worse.

Gutting we won’t be there.

Fuck me this year is a total bag of dicks.

Yeah agreed on the bag of dicks thing. It's like half the year has been totally pissed up the wall. I didn't even have a ticket and I feel pretty sad about the whole thing.

It's really odd but the fact that it's raining even makes me feel a bit sad that I'm not panicking about next week as a result.

I'm still going to watch some but yeah I don't know how much I'll manage.

It's sad but... also reminds me of how special Glastonbury is, and how amazing it'll feel to finally be back ❤️

Yep. I'm having to switch up my mindset for next week... less sadness about not being there this year, more gratitude that we are the lucky ones, to ever have been.

We can watch as much or as little of the footage that's on next week, but it holds no bearing on the very real memories and experiences we have of the place ❤

Exactly ☺️

Better to see it as a celebration of what's come before, rather than a replacement for what we've "lost" this year.  To me it's not just about the festival either, but all the other experiences had because of it. All the friendships made, music discovered, even the many hours spent on this site 😄.

It's hard to imagine what my life would be like if I had never been, but it would no doubt be far less exciting and there would be a lot of wonderful people that I'd have never met❤️

Besides, I haven't been since 2017 so I'm sure I can handle yet another year of waiting...

Me either! And I already missed my favourite band of all time headlining last year (and I'm totally over it, it's totally fine 🙃) so really, this shouldn't be any harder than 2019 😅

The Cure?

They're my all time favourite too so I was heartbroken about missing them. Seen them three times now, including at another fest the week after which was an amazing night... but it wasn't Glastonbury. Made even worse by all the people talking about how amazing it was and how it'll go down in history as one of the best headline sets.😭

But who knows,  maybe in 15~ years we'll get Bob doing the legend slot 😂

    • Avril gets above GC on rarity (see Cypress Hill this year). She drew in something like 70,000 at Glastonbury, so much so that they had to close the field off. I’d wager that she would get the biggest crowd of the entire weekend if she was to play DL.
    • We've reasonably predicted/wanted a bill of Blink, Avril, Good Charlotte for a while 😅    I'm surprised that Good Charlotte's UK shows in November seem to be doing well atm... obviously if they sell out those venues then they should be subheadliners right? (if they play download that is). They'd only look a strong sub if it was before Blink though I rekn.

    • Well Jason Isbell is on blistering form for this run of European gigs, wonderful night in Bristol
    • I am also interested in this. I was looking for past years, and it looks like it has a limited capacity.  I would love to see Ela Minus, but I guess I won't be able to make it in time, unfortunately.
