To be fair, there are a lot of people out there with a fear of needles.

One of my friends' grandparents (probably just under 80 I'd say) is terrified of needles and has yet to get his vaccine. The more people saying it is fine and doesn't hurt the better!

I wasn’t even convinced they’d stuck the needle in me... until my arm went dead!

Genuine question, are you and your similar posters not genuinely bored to tears by now of typing the same lame joke/terms like 'fake sage', 'nerds', 'boffins', 'variant porn', 'data not dates', 'muzzles', 'face nappies' etc every single day, multiple times day for the past two months, even after everyone else has repeatedly said how tedious it is. Do you do this in real life, just repeat yourself every single day with no interest as to whether anyone else is bored? I know I'm bored to tears posting complaints about it every week or so!

Oh it's just a turn of phrase in my case. I dont do it every day either, only when fake SAGE are saying something particularly stupid.

I'd give anything to be jabbed by the one and only JVT. I'm genuinely jealous of Hancock there.

I’d like Whitty to do mine 😆

If you only want to read one opinion then you'll have to start talking to yourself in the mirror, this is a forum made of other people...

We have people on this thread who will think the roadmap is too slow, people who think it's about right and people who thing it's too fast.

In my original post of which you've quoted a reply to I didn't use any belittling terms. I referred to independent sage by their actual name and insinuated something which it's hard to argue against... as a group of scientists they sway very much towards an end of the spectrum which I find difficult to comprehend. It's a global pandemic which has left people with little hope as it is, why try and remove what little is left?

More often than not I post direct links to posts from Twitter which are positive. This is due to a preference of looking at life with a glass half full rather than half empty.

If they want to see terror they want to go look in the eyes of someone dying of covid.

Blunt I know but that is the reality.  They need to go get the jab 😞

You do realise that just because you feel so strongly in favour of having the jab, that others are actually entitled to have their own strong opinions if they don’t want to take it (for whatever reason).

this is fair enough imo...and I'm the half glass empty guy to add the counter weight...yin and yang.

In the end we'll have a good ending though, right?! So JoeyT will always win. Then I'll have to start a climate crisis thread...that should keep us going for a good couple of decades.

The good ending will be all of us sharing a beer on the hallowed grounds of Worthy Farm 🙂

Oh maybe ... or maybe it takes a bit of time to update ... as all my flu jabs are on there despite being done elsewhere ... my jab is too and that was done at a gp hub not my gp

good luck with that

I have had the Pfizer jab twice { it worked out exactly 10 weeks between them } and my older brother also had the Pfizer jab and we both had the same side effects - a stiffness in the arm for about 24 hours.

If we ever get to annual boosters { one second it was ' for everyone over 70 and some other people ' and now they are hinting that it may be for everyone } it is possible they may mix vaccination brands { its claimed there is a study going on about this now } so at some stage in the future we may all end up with various vaccination brands.

At the end of the day ' as long as it works ' I would have no concerns if it was a different brand.

I have a friend who is taking part in the mix branding trials  .  He doesn't know which he has had yet.
