Yeah...and I agree actually...June21st has been set when the date when it's all over...but are people really expecting all social distancing to end on that date, nightclubs etc?

I think people will chafe at being told they cant have weddings or funerals e.t.c without distancing actually. So i think people will be angry if social distancing isnt ending then, as thats what most people consider it to be over

In regards to social distancing I would find it quite mystifying if we continue on the same trajectory we are on now with vaccinations going really well, real world data showing how massively effective vaccines are and case / death numbers declining, yet we then are told it can't end on June 21st.

At the same time I understand that if any of those things listed change then things may need to be looked at.

What are people's experiences of social distancing & rule following when out with friends / seeing family etc.?

I'm not saying this to wind people up but having seen friends & family and spoken to them there is nobody within my circles who isn't breaking rules / guidelines now.

It's interesting there's such a disparity in attitude between the sets of people we are related to / know.

I can't even put it down to age as it's people across all age groups who I know have broken rules.

Yeh I don't know anyone  across multiple demographics that isn't breaking rules

The majority of people that I know are taking what some would consider a common sense approach. Meet outside where possible, restrict socialising to within a relatively small network, when meeting up try and take a lateral flow test for additional peace of mind, keep close physical contact to a minimum all the while adhering to the advice if they have even the mildest of symptoms or have been near anyone who has, then do not socialise. That approach seems to be working in my neck of the woods

People tend to follow the rules when I go into work once a week and on the bus etc.

Although most people I know don't allow anyone into their home there is no social distancing from what I notice especially when walking around the supermarket!

Not according to the latest information on the NHS website. Still says 42 years at the moment

Most people when asked will say they are following the rules. And most generally are but also quite clearly a lot of people (basically everyone) has broken some of the rules at some point in the last year.
