Mr Boo
So which sets were enhanced by the introduction of a special guest? Also were there any guest appearances that were detrimental to a band/ artists set? Personally I generally love other artists appearing during a set. Good - this year I really enjoyed the Pet Shop Boys and Johnny Marr coming on during the Killers encore. Bad - I generally forget about those guests that don’t make an impact or are a mistake. Will need to give this more thought. Bizarre- Richie Sambora appearing during Dolly Parton’s set to play Bon Jovi’s ‘lay your hands on me’. Didn’t see that coming, made me laugh though ? DareToDibble
Barry Gibb with Coldplay. I was drunk so loved it but... odd. Rumours for weeks beforehand it was going to be Rihanna, too.

mcshed
Justin Vernon managed to go down terribly with Kanye West on the Pyramid but then receive a massive welcome when he joined The Staves on The Park the next day.

Ryan1984
Saw one of Trevor or Simon join the other one of Trevor or Simon’s bands on maracas when they played early on the John Peel Stage years ago.

Was sat outside the tent tapping my toes to the GA enjoying the sunshine and suddenly all hell broke loose. I got up to investigate and was delighted to see the Boss up on stage with his fellow New Jerseymen. A genuine surprise and not one that was foretold by the internet. Most enjoyable. It also touched on this and it sounded like everything overwhelmed and he had a bit of a panic attack. Quite sad in the context of the interview. Quark
At Download, parody thrash band Lawnmower Deth performed their cover of Kids in America. Kim Wilde rocked up as surprise guest, and went full scream vocals with them. Definitely bizarre, but also definitely entertaining.

Doug85
John Paul Jones randomly popped up during Seasick Steve's set (at T in the Park?) in 2012 and that was amazing and completely unexpected.

TKOCF
Good: Brian Johnson with Muse Bad: Drake with Giggs. Got crushed in the rush to the stage. Bizzare: Every time Noel Fielding joins Kasabian. It’s still funny every time to me though.
